    Army Thread Monday 24th February

Tabs, hope the walk cleared your mind. One thing I've learnt here is to open up about things that bother me, and that's something I find extremely difficult to do, so I simply chat here and elsewhere: I don't talk about the botherations, but just gasbagging on helps me a lot.

Re the cigs: I thought I had it sorted in my mind, but obviously not, and I think that's why giving up the booze was easier - my mind was ready to do so, and it simply had to drag the BliksemseBoozeBrain along, screaming and shouting.

Lovely cakes and coffee at my friend's going-away do; nice to sit down and chat with people that I generally run into at the shops or elsewhere in the village.
14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

      Good morning Army :hallo:

Dreamy :l Full of admiration of you for being able to stop even for just one day- have you read the easy way book? It lays upstairs beside my bed waiting for the time when I'm really ready to quit- did read a few chapters many years ago but wasn't truly ready to stop.
I'm trying to psych meself up and am developing a hatred of those stinky things to try and leave it that I wont feel I'm giving up anything instead gaining...a new cleaner, healthier and ?wealthier life!

Sending best wishes and positive vibes to KTAB:l

Happy Monday to everybody else xxx

The e cig I have has nicotine in it too. Have started using it as a replacement to cut down on the cigs. Working on this nearly same way I did with booze- slowly psyching self up to ditch the feckers.

As well as me usual aches n pains in back, knees and shoulders- actual muscles are sore as if have been exercising Feel like a wreck!!

              Army Thread Monday 24th February

Afternoon army I got back to sleep for a couple of hours so feel a bit better. I need to clean my oven today as I have putting it off too long looking forward to it not.. Re the grog I can't do it on my own either that's why I come here and go to AA even if I make just one meeting a week its a help tho I keep meaning ti get to more but some weeks I do. I think mind set has a lot to do with it and a plan. I need to get over the bad anxiety attack that comes every so often and that can have running to local Tesco or other for booze to get it out of my head but that's the worse thing to do as its tehere the next day with a hangover. Anyway i'm still learning bout my triggers and it took some time to identify its the mental craving that's the worst. Keep coming here tabbers I don't judge and I had so many day 1's it is hard and life can be hard.:l:yuk:. Anyways just my 2:cents worth. Just love messing round with these smilies:H:. Well beat go and get stat
rted on that cooker take in washing hang out more and whatever else I can get done. Back later.

                Army Thread Monday 24th February

FFS had a whole multi-quoted post done and ready to send when Noseyhole came back and I had to close the screen. Eyes like a hawk he has .................
So here is the gist :
                * Dreamy good luck again on the fags. That ecigarette sounds good.
                * Molls - aim to stop when the duty-free runs out ? Don't buy any more.
                * Sweetie - I grew to HATE cigs at the end and I believe this helped me. Like the grog - if you believe you are 'giving up' something nice it's much harder. I had got to the 'rock bottom' of cig addiction stage of : last one in bed & first one in bed :yuk: - seems it was acceptable back then
The smell and the constant cough was the catalyst for me ....
                * Foxy - you speak the truth - come here every day Tabbs and post & we'll sort yer out or die trying.
I found MWO a kind of slow 'brainwashing' in a good way if that makes sense ?
I wanted to be like the folks I read about on the boards that didn't need to drink every day - so I started to work it 'my way' and got there eventually.
That's all I can think of now ................
                Heading home
                Later gaters ....

                  Good evening, Army

Feck the heat. We're having curry tonight. Couldn't take the cravings any more and caved in. Eldest cub is baking the rotis, then we're ready to eat.

                    Hi all :hiya:

MrT- do you make yer own curry? What recipe do ye use?

Mix up with dentist they made a mistake with my booking and my dentist was off today :yay: Terribly upset I was!! Re-booked now for Thurs

Headed into town for a nosey. Still hafta get a bag for the wedding - no joy with same so guess may hit google tonight. Came home with the customary raspberry ruffles outa poundland and stopped for a fish n chip on way Being a bad girl today- will get back to being good-ish tomorrow!

Satz- it's the smell of stale smoke that is really turning me now.... feel same way about cigs the way I did about the booze before quitting- hate them and myself for indulging in them. The time to quit the stinkers is coming soon.... Just need to plan it for a time will be off work for a bit- couldn't inflict meself on the poor craters whilst withdrawing from nicotine- feck am bad enough as it is!
