    Army Thread Monday 24th February

    Hiya Whizzy :l

It's just a regular "home curry" PeaPod. No exact quantities, but it has cumin, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, garlic, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, masala, turmeric in it. Made it with lamb rib tonight.

I'm starting to nod off here, so if my snoring gets too loud, just give me a prod in the ribs.

Thanks MrT- just curious as to what others use in their curries. Been experimenting here but just never seem to get it right! Always feels like there's summat missing!

Hey all, haven't been on as I feel hypocritical with a glass in my hand. It was a passing remark by someone that made me feel that.

I'm arguing with my self daily, I want to stop but I'm struggling. Almost like al voice is screaming that I'm losing him. Well yes duh.

I was smoking 30+ rollies a day. A friend had been e-cigging for a while so I asked him about them. Within 2 days of getting one I had 2 cigs. I didn't want to give up, I enjoy smoking, hated the side effects. I've spent money on getting the wrong ones, tried some, didn't like. But. Costing me less, no cough, don't stink, no brown fingers, don't feel I'll from smoking.

I will say, if you buy from main shops, you most likely will think they're disgusting. I did.

What do ye mean re the cigs? Are ye using the e cigs now?

                  Good night KTAB:l

Can I just say if this is a site for alkies then of course it's only to be expected that some folk will have a glass in their hand. I lurked here for months with a glass in hand before getting the courage to post. Wouldn't have been able to post with glass in hand mind- find it hard enough posting sober!!

Sweetpea, I've been using e-cigs for about three years now.
I was using 50 gram pack of tobacco every 2 1/2 days. Now I have one every now and again and it tastes horrible.

All the press over here about the 'dangers' of them drove me nuts. Worse than tobacco? Hell no. All I'm inhaling now is nicotine (on par with caffeine) and a carrier which is used in asthma inhalers.

I can sing now without coughing. Doesn't mean I'm in tune mind.

:H Wonder will they help my singing voice too! Didn't know they were around that long- have only become aware of them very recently.. I'd be prepared to take my chances with them tho- couldn't be any worse than the cigs filled with feck knows what chemicals, plus the money saved by using them. It's a no-brainer?!

And maybe I can play the piano now :H

It's worth it sweetpea, but as I said, the over the counter ones are expensive for what they are. As a rollie girl, the fiddling about with them is not a problem, but if you are not its worth getting used to it. Making sure you have everything to hand if you go out. You can't nip into a shop and buy more.

Well said Sweetie.:goodjob: I did just that for a long time.

It is sometimes the shame that prevents us posting and we have all been there! Roxy and Tabbers just stay close. I have no pearls of wisdom but it took me years to get here but I did make it in the end

                              What she said.

Sorry I'm so late but was a bit stressed............although I'm not sure if that's the right word after this aftie at work.

One of the clients came in so drunk she was incapable of going into the SMART meeting. I had to sit with her for over an hour.

Then she fell of the chair and laid spread-eagled on the floor, had to get me co-worker out of the meeting.....managed to get her in a chair. She kept insisting she was fine...........just fine and would get the bus home.............2 chances of that.............no chance and fat chance. Luckily we had someone in with a new client who had a car and managed to get her home.

The worst bit.............it was like looking in a mirror of me 5 years ago............didn't half have a snivel when I got home.............Bless her heart.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

SMART? Seems impenetrable unless you're willing to face up. Is that the case?

Having a cry is a good thing, seeing what you were/could be keeps you accountable.

I just feel a git after insisting on a party. Then fucking about ever since.
