I was out of town when my dad was sick, and my 16 year old "couldn't get a ride home because Dad was 'asleep'", so he was going to sleep at his girl friend's house! WHAT? My 18 year old son knew this was not with our family values, and he went over to the house, at 11:30 pm, and texted to his brother that he had 5 minutes to get outside, or else he would start blaring on his car horn until he came outside. Four minutes and 30 seconds later, his brother came outside. this was the wake up call that my family needed for my husband to quit the Friday night boozing. He's been about 1.5 weeks, so we are still at a ODAT mode, but fingers are crossed.
