    Army thread FRIDAY 28 February

Slow day here - almost Googled MF and then figured out what it was on my own - and a bit of help from Molly. Hope you're better soon, Tabs. And Molly

Molly, non-grey roots much better for the soul (and vanity) than an hour in the gym. I've to de-grey and de-long hair too; still undecided about going short-short; perhaps after winter.

Anon, I think I've told you before, but the Northern Lights are very near the top of my bucket list. Enjoy your day - sounds lovely! I assume you've already been for your run?
14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

      Army thread FRIDAY 28 February

Good morning Deamydooo, Tipperoooo, Sweetypie, Our Whizzy, Mollymooo, Foxyloxy, Satzuma, Tabbers

Good grief Tips, that's not a commute that's what we would call going on holiday..........and we'd have to have at least 3 'comfort' stops and a picnic. Hope it's easier on homeward bound.

Molls, promise me you'll not move from the settee all weekend..............leave take out menus scattered around the kit hen.

To much light pollution where I am to see the Northern Lights but these are from just up the coast about 60km up the road.

      Northern lights in Northumberland
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Ach well another cheese sandwich for me...........such is life.

          Army thread FRIDAY 28 February

          Hallo Army

I had a "fuck this" moment and left the office early in any case, so it's nice to be home early.

Peaceful at the moment: youngest fast asleep, eldest at chess trials, mum absorbed in one of those real-life movies. Having a coffee and hot cross bun.
          I'll do whatever it takes

                    Army thread FRIDAY 28 February

Seeing as it looks like its going to be quiet this evening here I would like to sneek past the fact that I'm committing to start day one on Sunday.
I'm gathering everything together to help myself, or at least trying to (cop out excuse planted).

Brilliant, Roxy, but Sunday is so faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar still! And please don't change your mind:l:l

Tips, I :bow:bow:bow to everybody who has to commute to work. BTW, what did the cubs say about the Eminem concert?

                        Army thread FRIDAY 28 February

Cheeses. Sometimes I really wish I could get off the hamster wheel, but it's just not an option.

                        4 cats
                        1 dog
                        1 budgie (sadly caged)
                        1 x mother
                        1x MIL
                        2 x cubs
                        1 x Mrs. T
                        1 x housekeeper
                        1 x gardener.
1 x niece (goddaughter - her dad is my brother who died)

When did I grow up and get all these responsibilities? These past weeks of hell at the office and waking up with a knot in my stomach has made me really want to make a fundamental change, but it is so much easier said than done.

Am I having a fecking midlife crisis or what?

Apologies for the slight rant, but better out than in, right?
                        I'll do whatever it takes

                          Hiya Roxy and Dreamy

The cubs loved the concert, Dreamy. At least there's one 40-something y/o that they think is cool, because it definitely isn't me :H

Rant away, Tips, rant away. Apart from the pale male at work situation - would you have wanted anything fundamentally different? But yes, it's awful feeling that you're trapped and can't see a way out. :l:l:l

And the cubs will appreciate you again in a few years' time.

Tips, did I read that you commute 2 1/2 hours?. I hope that's not each way.....

Dream, you've quoted it now so I can't quietly delete it, clever sod.

Och, I'll be OK Dreamy. I have to be. This middle-class business is just sometimes frustrating. I think I was the one who introduced the Army to the concept of 1st World problems. Which is what mine are, come to think of it.

What are you planning to braai this weekend? We have some crayfish tails that I'm thinking of making tomorrow. Legal ones, mind you.
