Kradle I think I asked this before, but why aren't the people who were supposedly taking care of Matthieu when the incident happened looking after all his medical issues? Surely they were in loco parentis at the time?

Hi Glass: the Ranch staff are taking incredible care of him- making appointments, driving him wherever he needs to go, getting medication. They send me updates daily and Jessica (bless her heart) takes pics of Mathieu and his mouth with her phone and texts them me...the parents of the boy who hit him are taking care of all the medical bills. I just forward them. I feel so sad for everyone involved. I wish the state of AZ took my insurance to lesson the financial burden on the parents but the good news is since Mathieu can't have the major work done until he gets back home, that will be covered...a small blessing.

I'm in constant touch with this boys parents too. They are loving beautiful people. It's really been a very positive experience...overall...well, considering the circumstances.
He also has all the recourses of the ranch to work through all this which is huge. Honestly, Mathieu was headed for this kind of episode out here in the 'real' world so it happening in a controlled and therapeutic environment is a huge benefit.

Morning, peeps. It's in the thirties here, which seems so awesome, LOL! The chickadees are singing, and it's making me happy. Seems like I've been in a frozen wasteland for so long, and now there's a harbinger of spring.

Going to run food over to my mom, buy new duds for Mrs. Fen, and head out to the cabin to prep it for this weekend. Won't be posting tonight, unless I can't make it to the cabin.

I hear ya fen. We woke up to the sounds of spring and I'm feeling so happy!!! This one hour change thing is really throwing me a loop though! I over slept yesterday and was late for work, go figure. Have fun at the cabin!
Hubby wants to drag me shopping again today for him. He lost 50 pounds! I think I am the only person on the face of the earth who has a hubby who loves to shop!!!
CJ is leaving for st Lucia early tomorrow. I'm gonna miss her. She helped her dad at the office yesterday and he will take her to the airport. She is being very responsible. Hoping this lasts . God I love that kid, but she's a bit um flighty shall I call it! She keeps my life interesting.
Off for a run. I'm home today so I'll check in later. Happy Tuesday all.

Going to be another beautiful day today...off to run errands.
Liz my hubby likes ot shop...he does a better job of picking out clothes for me than I do..with the exception of the occasional 'Hooker" like clothes...see through etc..he just gets the look and puts them back..maybe he is just messing with me...but it is fun..

Ok I am confused about a couple of things. First...what show has Nurse Jackie on it? I'm thinking I need to get into it, whatever it is. Second...yes, Mama has been sneakily playing checkers on the regular, me suspects. She just doesn't want to rub it in our faces (those of us that can only play Solitaire). LOL

Kradle - Sounds like overall Matthieu is doing very well, despite the bumps along the way. Like you said, it WAS going to happen in the real world, maybe this experience will teach him a lesson in a controlled environment. I am so proud of you and your willingness to do whatever it takes to save him!! I always tell Sierra to take advantage of me now, because there will never be ANYBODY that loves her and will do ANYTHING for her like I will....of course she won't realize that until she has a daughter of her own...

Hi FD! You say it's warming up...so that means it's like 3 degrees now? lol

Speaking of dentists and bills, I refuse to go. It's like taking your car to the shop, of COURSE they are going to find something!! I am not looking for a new place to spend money, thanks very much. I'll go when I have a pain, and at that point I will just have them pull the damn tooth. I figure I'm doing pretty good, I rinse with coconut oil, and I put my retainers in once a week (yes, I've had them for 25 years)...so on the outside my teeth LOOK good, although they may be rotten at the roots. LOL

Ok...back to my healthy food today. I gained the five pounds that I lost last week, that I had gained the week before, that I had lost the week before.

Hi everyone! It's a balmy 40 degrees here in lovely winter wonderland of Minnesota. About to head to work after classes. At least I can see my drive way again and those wonderful things called water puddles. Everyone have a great afternoon! I'll catch-up more tonight with everyone!

I am NOT playing checkers...sorry to disappoint. Made out a little this weekend, but no impregnation of any sort. Plus, if two of us were pregnant at work, the globe may tip on its axis.....
I had some really rich leftovers Alfredo for lunch yesterday and it just didn't sit right

ok....ahem...be prepared to be impressed....Mama is teaching an industry class tomorrow at the Jacksonville Apartment Association. All the newbies in the industry go to this class and I am teaching Fair Housing and Legal Aspects. Are you impressed? Since I am teaching right after lunch, I bought candy, silly string, neon bracelets and stuff to keep the class awake.

I had a pain in my side yesterday so went home after work & just chilled. That helped.
