One Step at a Time - March 2014

Hi all,
Sunny and cold here.
Pauly I spend a small fortune on produce when junk food would be so much cheaper but I dont want to me overweight any more. I am spending time at the gym so I want to eat healthy too. Now my friend asked us to go to the Friday fish fry that is here now. They have baked something that I will eat. Fried foods upset my stomach now. Funny how that works.
Staying in today..so much to do.

Morning! I said earlier to this guy I work with "Good Morning!" and he goes "Whats so good about it?" LOL Wow, and he just got a girlfriend too, you'd think he'd be happier!

Pauly - You are so right about junk food being cheap. When you are broke, you are not going to spend $7 on a package of almonds when you can get 24 corndogs for $3.99. It just doesn't make sense! I've noticed that I spend MORE now that I only buy healthy food! Sierra is on a real cereal kick lately. It's funny how she goes through these phases. And then of course I watch her eating and think "hmmm, that looks good". And we know where that leads. LOL At least it's just Honey Nut Cheerios...could be worse (but still $5 a box!)

Mama - I will keep my eyes posted for Dexter over at the PD. There is a Detective Morgan over there already, I laughed when he called me for something the other day.

And yes, Diablo or one of her homies DID steal my shoes....or should I say "exchanged". They took my nice new pair and replaced them with a ratty ass torn up pair. Of course I didn't say anything...like someone would have fessed up? In the clink you learn to just accept things and pass the time until you get the hell out!

I'm trying to avoid all the brownies, cupcakes, and pastries left over from their St. Paddy's Day fundraiser....they've slashed prices from $1 each to FREE. Damn.

HAPPY SPRING!!!

Mama, I laughed when I saw your "peckers" idea...A couple of my friends and I had the same idea, only for a restaurant called "Woody's", featuring a wood pecker on the sign instead of the "Hooters" owl! Of course, all the guys would be gorgeous and studly (and yes, Pauly, probably gay), adorned only in a scanty panties. anties:

I love those madtv Abercrombie skits. There's one where one of their coworkers is a chubby asian man...hired to avoid a lawsuit. Another where the guys get into a brawl with the new "Lane Bryant" store ladies!

Pauly, I hear you about the cost of healthy food. It's shocking how little one can pay for an artery clogging meal at McD's. The other day Mrs. Fen almost nixed my purchase of a small bag of fresh whole wheat flour from a farm near our cabin- 5 bucks...but, I made the best irish brown bread with it. I think most of the time, the ww flour in the stores is older and rancid.

Glass, I think the skits are a pretty accurate picture of A and F! :H:H

Today is sunny and our temps are going to soar to the sizzling temperature of 44 degrees! :happy: Dottie, as usual, you are getting out yesterday's weather. Chin up! Tomorrow will be better.

Well - the checkers don't work like they used to here. :upset: I think I need to change my sexual orientation since Fen is getting it at LEAST once a week. But, I am having a WONDERFUL time with hubby. We have been watching episodes of The L Word every night. That is my excitement. :H

Nora, lesbians actually have a sort of reputation for letting checkers fade away in long term relationships- a condition commonly known as "Lesbian checkers death". I made it very clear to Mrs. Fen that we'd not be giving up checkers...if I wanted a checkerless relationship, I'd get a roommate! :H
