Ok...I had the BEST meeting with the Captain, he is soooo nice. He told me I was the only person he was meeting like this. The thing is that once you're hired, you still have to pass training, and statistics say that only 25% of people can pass training. He said he'd feel horrible if I left a City job and then couldn't make it. BUT...he said "We will do whatever it takes to make sure you pass training". I just sent him an email thanking him for reaching out to me, and I included "I've thought about our conversation and I feel compelled to press on!" I know I can do it!! Then we started talking about Breaking Bad and it was all good from that point

I hope it's not Boot Camp...I would fail!
It's the training to be a 911 Dispatcher, and he said you are in "training" basically until you can do the job on your own. During my interview I was told it takes about a year to become completely comfortable on your own.

Pauly? you are so right? you can eat badly very cheaply but eating healthy is expensive? it?s no wonder there?s so much illness. I was supposed to go up to see my friend that had the stroke today. She texted in the morning to say she had to go to the Doctor as her MRI had come back with a tumor on her adrenal gland. She?s overweight from eating the food you?re describing and she smokes too. (

Dottie? Sounds like you have a grip on the unhealthy food epidemic. I find it really hard to eat at some places, everything is fried and/or carbs.
