So Tips is will be midnight braai- ing due to lack or pyromania skills in his eldest cubs....where as it looks like we've got plenty to spare.............I confess I married a pyromaniac. Nothing Mr JC likes or should I say liked was a pile of newspapers and a box of matches.
New Years Eve 1983...................our vewwy first New Year together, we'd only been together 3 weeks...........awwwwwwww............and he managed to burn a hole in my brand new carpet burning little bits of newspaper in an ashtray that eventually cracked due to the heat.It could be worse, I could be filing.

We could start our very own Army Firestarters Club.
I just love a fire - think I braai so much is because there are flames involved. My biggest treat was teaching my godson how to build a fire. Coz that's what godmothers are supposed to do, not?
Re-reading Robertson Davies - do you know him? Canadian with a Father Christmas beard. Probably my all-time favourite writer.14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

When we used to do the country cottages thing...........his first question was always ............is there an open fire. Should see him at the caravan with the pot bellied stove. He's in heaven.

John Irving's In one person, JC? Very different (and yet not) from his previous books - loved it. But then he also is one of my absolute favourite authors.
That's the one thing I miss in the village - the nearest bookshop is so far away that I have to make padkos for the trip!! The tourist trap town has what they claim is a bookshop - I have more books at home than they have in the shop14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!
