On the other hand, some roasted peri-peri chicken would also go down well. Too spicy after last night's curries, perhaps?

I'd go for the braised lamb with buttery mash-- hope you're getting some sort of greens there, Tipps! Don't forget the greens, I say!!
Molly, What's up with you and all the cooking? Damn! You're putting us all to shame! And then you have time to sit back and put your feet up!!
Howdy all you others! Thanks for the Tigger thread! Sorry, my fault..

Great list of 22 habits... but I want more money!!!!!:H Since I'm not making anywhere near 75,000 I'm allowed to say that. It would make me more happy! I know it would..Just a bit, mind you..
I do need to work on following through with things. Maybe then I could earn more!!

I've got cheese and bacon, good idea, thanks!
Do I bash it?
Trouble with being on my own is food goes off if I buy too much variety. So I end up have rather little in the cupboards.
Should batch cook I suppose................nah.

It gets boring Molly, I eat a small amount of different things and generally just to stop feeling hungry.
I can buy salad for one or two days and not want it again for a third day so it rots.
No point in having flour for making sauces. Stock cubes, potatoes. The brown rice I had the other day was best before 2012 I think!
Try not to get ready meals as they are full of unnecessary additives. Surprised I'm not a skinny minny. Oh yes, alcohol calories.

Send chicken breast over to Tips, Roxy - that normally counts as a vegetable here.
Cooking for one is a pain - easy in winter, when I do soups and things that I can freeze in portions. I've stopped buying lettuce - goes slimy after a day or four, so if I don't have any in the garden, I do without. It has very little nutritive value, anyway - try baby spinach, Rox.
Never knew you could freeze bechamel, Molly - definitely going to do. Pain to make, may as well make a huge quantity at one go.
Quince jelly done; jelly can wait for another day.
Visitors - bye!14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

ive eaten it dream, with cheese and bacon with green beans.
alot of salad leaf comes in bags now filled with a dioxide i think to preserve it. used to be able to buy watercress in bunches but not anymore.
i suppose i should start thinking ahead with food. but im not really a foodie. i like good food but ive lost interest since being on my own.
i have just got a bigger freezer so i maybe will look at batch cooking. but not yet.

No food left here --- completely shaggin stuffed I am --- vergin on detrimental to my health!!
Peaser - I can't get up these mornings either --- more or less slept till half 9 this morning --- MAD!
Have you got back to normal after the wedding an all?
DreamThinkDo;1640941 wrote: :waving: Sweetiepeapie! Must be awful to get up for work when you know most people have a day off. Busy day?
Stuffed meself now Molls! Just had my own stew- so good too and better for me than choc I suppose!
Wedding feels like eons away now- things are back to normal kinda. There is a sense of let-down or summat after all the excitement and adrenaline that comes in the build-up. Honeymooners away for another week - will be excited and looking forward to seeing them when they get back
Funny thing bout sleeping in is I cant really do it proper on my days off- still wake earlyish like about 7. Work days my alarm starts at 5:50 which is too feckin early especially when ye've been working late the night before.
Don't mind so much going in when others are off Dreamy- roads are nice and quiet and less people about the wards too- get some peace to do me work! We are busy all the time now- just no let-up it seems. Old folk just keep getting sick, ye know?! Think they'd take a break from it at weekends, eh?
How're ye both doing? Any craic for me?!
