Did you only cancel it at your place? Cos I don't mean to be rude, but it would be a bit presumptuous to cancel it for everyone just cos you can't see it.

NSW is the only place that would have shown the full moon rising (now there's a song title for someone) and completely above the horizon at full eclipse.
At least I saw the transit of Venus last year.
