    Glad you asked? :H
:H Yes. Didn't Aaron Neville play at Bluesfest today? I seem to remember the name.

I'm just listening to some music from the weekend and having a laugh...Kate Miller-Heidke described herself as "Enya on crystal meth"...unbelievable voice...

          Hi all,
I was feeling kinda lonely so I thought I'd come visit. It's dreary as hell here and been raining forever. Am having fun watching the birdfeeding station though. A bunny has been showing up for 2 days (not the Easter bunny).

Good morning Bird, Jonesy and all to cometh fifth,

              How are ya Bird?

Holy toledo, there is sky bleu present. Quite windy. Good day for flying.

Gig sounds a pearler Frog. Are you catching up with Dr. John for Devonshire tea at the Windsor beforehand?

P.S. I still get confused when i read DH on other threads. Does it mean dickhead husband? designated husband? Probably darling husband. Either way, i always have a chuckle.

              Yo fruity!

Morning Mr G, Bridgee and hello Birdy!! missed you, hope you're well? and how are the girls? and the music, they still in the band? Really lovely to see you.

Ripping day here. I got an early call to fill in on a teaching job, now back home to potter around. Beautiful sunshine and time to pick some tomatoes, they went crazy while we were away and some I had thought wouldn't ripen have. Picked up a 1kg pack of smoked salmon on special for $15 before we went away and hid it from the locusts. So smoked salmon naan bread pizza for lunch with rocket and tomatoes. Bliss.

:H at hiding the salmon! Yep, wise move.

                  Morning Saucy. Tucker sounds fab.

Question to all. I want to grow tomatoes, spinach, kale etc in my backyard. We have a few possums here each night, so will i need to protect veggies from them? e.g. chicken wire or something? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

G-man, here's what I do to critter-proof gardens, tool sheds, etc. Dig a trench two feet down around the perimeter of your garden....place chicken wire in the trench at a 45 degree angle outwards from the fence, shed, etc...whatever you are trying to protect. Works like a charm. I had to do this to my tool shed, as wood chucks moved in beneath it and became accustomed to dining on the wiring in my fennel-mobile.

If your possums climb like ours do...you may have to place a roof of bird netting over the top of things...or, more chicken wire. Your possums are way cuter than ours. Do they climb?

Evening/morning lovely undies. Good on ya Mr G with the veggie growing wanna! sounds like heavy posts and wire needed. Over here build a couple of beds with scaffold planks, hoop them over with pluming pipe and net em, job done.
Was a virgin grower myself last year, didnt know about the netting, Brussels sprout shoots got scoffed by the pidgeons but did recover. Broccoli was fine but a large cooked caterpillar among the spears on the plate was pretty gross, netting on early this year.

                          Thanks Fennel and KT.

Fennel, yep, our possums climb anything. I'll explore all these suggestions considering the space available etc. As a musician, i probably won't notice the bonus slugs and caterpillars on me lettuce, which might be a good thing. Appreciate your chiming in. Have a great week friends.

How good is gardening for bringing everyone together? still having a chuckle over the cooked caterpillar Ktabbers I reckon chicken wire over it should do it Mr G. I did notice that Bunnings sell the big white netting sheet, which would keep out everything, I think. A lot of the folk at the allotments have them. We've still got the prison set up over our entire patch coz of the scrub turkeys.

About to plant in the fruit trees for the food forest down the back on top of the excavation earth, the Lamp is off work this week so I'm expecting that there will be some other big changes in the landscape, he's already running around like the Energizer bunny, scaring the neighbors...
