    Elton and Bernie
And on that note, does anyone else ever wonder why poor old Bernie faded into insignificance when Elton is so famous? I reckon he got a raw deal. Unless he wanted it that way, I guess.

I have pondered this one. I get the feeling Bernie wanted it that way. Raking in the millions relatively anon. Noice. Some of us are show ponies, others less so i suppose. But who doesn't like a bit of recognition? And i reckon he got it and still does non?

You could be right. Maybe for him it was more about creating than the limelight. Clever bloke, but - and what an amazing partnership! Apparently he wrote the lyrics and then Elton put them to music later without the two of them getting together, which is really bizarre when you think of how beautifully the music and lyrics mesh on some of their songs.

            OMGOMGOMG - I'm so excited!

The little red boat is back on. For definite this time (or as definite as these things can be), but just about to sign the papers and pay the $$. Feb to March next year. Did I mention I'm excited?

                Arvo Undies,

The problem with not posting for a day is that there's so much to comment on, so forgive me if I don't but ...

Glassy - fantastic news about the little red boat. You must be stoked.

Happs - I checked the line-up for the Blues and Roots fest ... how on earth can you decide who to see? I bet you're having a ball.

Mr.G - loved the Underoos tune.

I also noticed yesterday that our pub was open. Have the rules re Good Friday changed or something?

My concession to the Easter festivities - I bought a six pack of Hot Cross buns and the Postmaster gave me a tiny chokkie egg.

So this is kind of funny, but I’ve always had this absolute Easter rule of no hot cross buns before Good Friday and no eggs before Easter Sunday. And I guess I assumed that once my kids moved out they’d rebel a bit and… oh I don’t know… eat a bun before easter or something. Because kids can be wild that way!

But apparently not! Because G2 was talking about the ‘bun’ word in the context of a pre-easter morning tea the other day and was totally horrified at the thought. So there you go, I’ve obviously scarred my kidlings for life! I’m such a bad mother. :upset:

edit: that said, G2 and his lovely girlfriend are coming to church with me tomorrow (St Johns cathedral - another tradition) and coming back to my place for buns afterwards. So all good.

morning guys, enjoy family if you dare today.
remember, one tiny choc egg takes 30 burpys to burn off.

                          Happy Easter Undies.

Had myself a lovely long sleep in, for which I've earned myself a splitting headache Over sleeping just doesn't work for me any more. Probably need to relax with one of Happs' herbal biscuits.

Must be lovely at your place today with the youngsters Aspy. The boy just grunts at Easter eggs these days. And most other things.

Anyway I have used my time wisely this weekend by plonking on the lounge in my zebra print flannelette PJ pants and watching a Desperate Housewives marathon. PM me for plot details:H

A visit from family armed with DVDs of long past family events has been...let's just say... very enlightening......All in all I feel this Easter has been a true blessing in very unexpected ways.

Glassy re the Easter bun with-holding.....I completely agree with that. I find that the younger generation are losing their sense of occasion because they get everything, all the time. And how interesting that Gs 1 and 2 continue the tradition. I am VVV glad that the little red boat is back on the agenda.

Mr G, you have a wonderful day. See if you can't find some lovely lady with a bunny tail on.

Mother Frog....enjoy... although I suspect any rabbit entering your farm will be rapidly dispatched.

Chin up Corri Dorri. If nothing else it must be of some relief to know what you're grappling with now? Have a lovely peaceful Easter.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I rode a mechanical bull at a party last night, super fun i can recommend it if you are up for a little bull(carpet)burn on your inside ankle bones. being the ONLY sober person riding it i stayed on the longest 33 sec. I WIN bitches. : )

I just got back from my first decent ride on my new pushy.. 40k round trip, inner thighs are screaming from bull/bike riding ... he he, its a good burn thought.

Aspy - I am very impressed! You are just rocking this fitness thing!

I went to the cathedral this morning with G2 and his gf and discovered that for some reason they've ripped out all the pews and have replaced them with what looks like furniture from bl**dy Ikea! What the actual **** were they thinking??? Seriously, I could practically hear St John moaning from his grave. :upset:

In brighter news though, G1 and his wife are up in Qld for a few days and G1 and I had a lovely long visit with many chattings this arvy, so that was nice! And we're all having a gathering up on the Sunni coast tomorrow and both the G's and partners are having dinner at chez Glassy in the evening. :h
