Apparently we do, but it's not a 'thing'.

OK peeps, it's Monday morning here so I'm off to work. Have a good week!

Coming home from the cabin on Sundays always puts me in a funk. Mrs. Fen is on her way to my mom's house right now to go over some financial stuff with her. I told her to tell my mom that I'm coming over tomorrow afternoon. I've been researching the "bullectomy" surgery my mom's docs recommended and it doesn't look awesome. Firstly, she's already such a surgery risk as it is. Secondly, any improvement in lung condition only lasts for three to five years- then the condition goes back to what it was before surgery. I really hope the new inhalers are helping..."Spireva" is supposed to be a good one.

K9, I'm glad your mom has you to lean on during this upcoming journey. :l

Had a weekend of hiking, checkers and public radio...all my fave things! It held off on raining until the evening. We really needed some rain! No coyotes this weekend, but plenty of bird activity at the feeder, and the froggies are singing their nightly chorus, now. I reckon it's time for that whippoorwill to come back. Mama swallow has built her nest on the back of the cabin again, and I monitor her comings and goings with vittles for her babies.

Niner... how is your mum doing hon? X

Pauly... do your Zen statues look like buddhas? :H

Nora... so glad hubby's coming home...

Fenny... good luck with your mum too... X

Mama... more sin huh?!!! Jeeze Louise!

Had another incident of Bill getting drunk and out of order. LAST time it's happening on my watch, I've told him he leaves my house for 72 hours if he tries his crap on again, whether it be here or elsewhere. No need to even comment on it... I know I'm an eejit.

It's raining cats and dogs. Time to tuck up on the couch.

Zen - really sorry that there was another episode. I'm glad that you made it very clear what will happen.

                    Mama - thanks sweetie. :h

I sent an e-mail and later talked to SIL. Hubby is coming home on Tuesday and no plans to return unless he starts feeling much better. That is a relief. I hate laying all of that on her. She has so much going on in her life. Her husbands parents live about 10 minutes away from us. Her FIL is not in good health and now her MIL has injured her back somehow. Just so much going on. I guess we're at the age where our parents are fading and it's so hard. :upset:

Nora, this is a tough age. I guess it's a good thing that we are getting some wisdom right now, because it is so HARD to deal with our parents passing away.

I really think that hubs shouldn't go back, though. He's not in good health, either.

Nora, you folks have the most wonderful variety of humming birds anywhere. Here in WI, we get the "Ruby- throated" hummer...but, when I was in Palm Springs, I swear I saw at least five different types. :h

The birds at the cabin were so excited when I filled the feeders....a chickadee flew down to the feeder before I'd even made it up to the porch after filling it. :H
