Happy Easter to all of that faith. :h

We've had a great day. Hid some eggs for my 27 year old son. :H:H He had a good time. Hubby & I took the dogs to a dog park. Abbie had a wonderful time but Molly was having her back leg problems.
Came home & had a big breakfast and now I'm chilling.

I've tried getting my hubby to go with me for a pedicure. He won't do it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'll be back..........

I have the fluffy blankie all ready for you Kradle... the choccies are on the coffee table and we're fully "reclined". You'd think it was a feckin Octo Orgy!

Nora... Methinks your son was humoring you and Scott finding the eggs! Too frikken funny! Ahhh... I'd have gone looking for them myself if I'd been there!

Dotts... I had my toes painted periwinkle blue yesterday. My little cousin in Glasgow gave me the polish when I was home last year and I took it in with me. It's a kid's color but it looks kinda cute!

OK... I have been a sloth today. I have.done.nothing! Hamish is happy cos I've been snuggling with him all afternoon.

Why is it so quiet on the thread? Have you all got lives or something?!!!

One Step at a Time - April 2014

Whew! Back home. Had a lovely weekend at the cabin...and went to my cousin's house today for a major fennel's family Easter get together. This is my mom's side of the family, whose family settled in the area of my cabin when they came over from Ireland in the mid-1800's. Fortunately, one of my five billion cousins stopped at mom's and brought her in to Ridgeway, so Mrs. Fen and I didn't have to drive all the way back home and fetch her in.

I love celebrations at my cousin Margaret's farm. She has 64 acres, a large farm house and garage to hold us all. It's in Wisconsin's "driftless" area, so it's incredibly hilly. I brought an Easter lily and some "Scotcheroos" bars, about the only thing I could really make at the cabin. :H Fortunately, the little boys scarfed the whole pan, so there's nothing left for Mrs. Fen and I to gain weight on. :H

I love how when we pull up to the house, all the kids are outside, running around like crazy. Reminds me of the good old days when we all used to run around. My mom and her sister are the only two of their sibs left. My auntie is 92. Of course, there's a new raft of babies, so everybody got to coo at and coddle the little ones. I bet there were 65 of us there. And that's not nearly the whole family! Of course, being farmers, various groups of guys came and went throughout the day. Chores, milking, etc.

Anyway, as introverts, Mrs. Fen and I are EXHAUSTED with all that visiting! We brought mom home and I will send a nice card to my cousin who picked her up- she saved me a lot of driving today. :h

Nora, so sweet that you made Easter eggs!

My bestie and I do it every year, except this year she is visiting another friend in the Carolinas. It's not the same without her.

Sorry about Molly, Nora. Does she have some arthritis? She's getting to be an older pup, right? I bet she still enjoyed getting out there.

Zen, I'm ready to come on down with you and Kradle! You can introduce me to some of those exotic shows you've been viewing.

That Easter sounds perfect Fenny. Ours was quiet.... Too quiet. I will make more of a production next year. Hubs and I snuggled and watched "Frozen" while the kitties purred between us. It was very relaxing and just what I needed to prepare for a week with Ted Bundy. I have to be super professional for the time being and that wear me out!
Sounds like everyone had a lovely day.
Zen. The couch. Some choccies and my MWO Besties has been added to my bucket list.
Oh...... And I am going to plan sOMeTHiNG for my 25th wedding anniversary on two years. I don't know what yet, but I am whisking Bret off. He's always wanted to see Italy....
I love my family more than alcohol.:h

                            Hi Everyone!

I missed you all! Sierra took my iPad to her dads house, so I was at home with no internet connection and felt really isolated...well, you can get on it from the Wii but I tried and gave up in frustration. WHEN will I get to keep my own "toys" and not have to share??? :stomper: Me thinks someone needs her DAD to buy her a tablet!!!

Sorry if I scared you Mama, I accidentally butt texted you on Friday night...I hope you didn't think I was gettin' into trouble! Actually the big dog did it...his paws are EVERYWHERE and you were my last text of the day so I guess it just replied.

I spent all weekend with Netflix. Sierra is still gone, and I was LAZY. My house looks and smells like a zoo. The animals are going home today at lunch so I MIGHT think about cleaning tonight. And lets not even mention the MOUNTAINS of laundry I have....ugh.

                            Happy Monday....ugh.
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

                              Hi all,
fen yes i got the darn flu shot....it is mandatory since we volunteer at the hospital. This feels more like a respiratory thing rather than the flu. Probably due in part to the change of weather and my allergies. I took some NyQuil and slept like a rock...but now my cough is back and I have a low grade fever so may have to call the darn doc. Always something...
So plans for today may be altered to accomodate my slouching on the couch. Whatever I needed to do wil keep

Sounds like what I had Dotts. I had a course of Keflex (antibiotic) that cleared it up. I just heard another friend's come down with it and his Doc's put him on anti-B's. It starts like a flu type thing and turns into an upper respiratory infection. I hope you get better soon... get to the Doc. X

That's a bummer about your tablet Niner... she needs her own for sure. I'd go nuts if I couldn't get online. Tell her to hit Dad up for one!

How's things with Ted today Mama? Has her oral surgery made her any quieter?! What did she actually have done?
