Seemed like every time there was a "downsizing" I took on more and more that was outside my scope....but like u said had to stay flexible...dont miss any of it...

Mama, what on earth are these appointments for? Most women need a once a month prenatal thingy....seven appointments in two weeks? What on earth does she have going on? I'm with Dottie...she knows how to game the system. Document, document, document.

Niner, this is b.s. One ass-wipe has a grudge? You have been scrutinized so intensely, I cannot believe that one idiot could eff this up for you. I still think you're in, but by the time they offer you the position, you'll probably tell them to "eff off".

Saw my regular M, W, F lady today....the honey-moon is over! :H She griped mercilessly at me for putting her mint green poly fleece cardigan in with the "darks" laundry today, instead of the "whites". I truly thought that whites were whites, but what the heck. I told her that poly fleece is very forgiving and not likely to take on any dark colors. I apologized and told her I would be mindful of it in the future. The cardigan came out just fine.

As I hugged her before I left, she said "I'm so glad I've got you". :h I told her I'm so glad I have her. All was forgiven.

My dear client of yesterday has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I don't show up at her home until 1:00. I have been worrying over her all day.

The scheduling person scheduled me from 10:30 am til 7:00 pm for my remaining shifts with her this month. I told dear client's daughter that I would be willing to start at 10:30 am if I was able to leave at 6:00 pm, 6:30 at the latest. I really don't want to do more than eight hours a shift, as it's very grueling. Am I being fussy? I need some input from my peeps on this one.

Mama - that is RIDICULOUS!! I'm glad that you are documenting. She wants to get fired so that she can claim harassment because she's pregnant.

K9 - Seriously! That is ridiculous. All you have to do is give them all of our names. You would have the best report that he has ever seen.

Fennel - you are not being too picky! I never would have known to put green in with the whites either. :H You are loved (sometimes people just need to complain )

Dottie - I hope that you are feeling so much better now! :l

I'm an everything person at work too. Gets tiring sometimes. Office Manager, Prepare all Shipping Documents, IT person, Report Writer/Programmer .........and that's just off the top of my head. :H

I agree. She is working the system.

I know there are nightmare stories out there about discrimination against pregnant women...but Mrs. Fen went through hell with an employee five years ago. This woman was so lovely...she was the secretary for Mrs. Fen's business. She got pregnant, but declared to Mrs. Fen that she would return to her job after her maternity leave was finished.

Mrs. Fen took her at her word. Employee took her six week maternity leave, and promptly quit. Mrs. Fen is a "small business" employer. By law, she is not required to cover medical expenses, as she has way less than fifty employees...she does so, because she is a good person. She covered the employee's maternity leave costs and got screwed in the end.
