You know, it takes me longer to make the chuffing cat food than it would if I was making a slap-up human dinner. And the more I make their food, the less I like to eat meat. That's fine by me... I'd love to be vegetarian again but us O blood types like our animal protein. I went without meat for 2 years so I know I can do it and I'd feel a lot better not contributing to the horror of modern day farming.

I have the dentist again tomorrow. He's an acquaintance, I met him years ago and have even been flying with him and his wife in their private plane. He really likes to talk and has great jokes. Only problem is I can't bloody answer with a gob full of fingers and dental equipment... and try laughing, you'll choke... it's very frustrating.

                  Dottie, I didn't know you have a cardiologist. I hope you're okay. :h

Mrs. Fen and I update our POA and wills on a fairly regular basis. It's different when you don't have kids, isn't it?

My workplace found a new "lady" for me. Eighty-five years old, fairly able, good hearing, loves to tinker in her garden, needs some meal prep, wants me to read to her (macular degeneration), light house-keeping, shower and bath aid if she trusts me eventually. Sounds like a match made in heaven. This puts me up to half-time hours, which is perfect, since my own senior (mom) is failing and needs me now.

Her daughter is a teacher's aid who visits her every day..but needs a break. I get it. I almost want to hire a senior helper for my own mom. It's easier to handle other people's moms. :h

fen I had a near death experience with multiple blood clots in my lungs last September so the cardiologist came in because I had irregular hear rate during and following that event. He doesn't think there was any heart damage but at my 'suggestion' he is going to run the stress test...my mother had atrial fibrillation so I am just erring on the side of caution.
Yes no kids and no siblings is a real challenge and I dont particularly want dh's kids making decisions on my welfare...my best friend knows me better than most anyone other than dh so I trust her judgement and she is also a nurse....double bonus...

Oh, gosh...well, good to have all your t's crossed and i'es dotted.

My mom has A-fib as well. Complicates things a bit.

My best friend is my POA outside of Mrs. Fen...but she is in fairly bad health. It's a challenge.

Very curious....do you recall your NDE? I am very into these lately.
