    Army Thread Tuesday 22nd April

    Goooooooood morning, folksies

I felt kinship with the Yummy Mummies this morning... Drove the cubs 500m to school in a SUV. Rest of the day: mine, all mine...

Dreamy: I've noticed that you always spell thread with a lower case T. I'm always fighting the good fight at work, to prevent people from using capital letters in the middle of sentences. The word "manager", for example. But is it not acceptable in a Thread title?

I suspect that this is the only Army T/thread that was started in triplicate.

Tips, Initial Caps in Titles are a US Convention. UK English generally use caps only for the initial word, although initial caps have started to infiltrate the Isles as well. US cultural imperialism and all that. There are cases to be made for both - could give you lots of reading matter on that, but you don't want want that today, do you? Quickie: She was appointed as the new finance manager/She was appointed Manager: Finances. Fight the good fight and keep caps to a minimum, I say.

                    Typical Saffas, then.

Remember that old joke about 3 Afrikaners getting together: the result is two political parties and 4 churches. Or summat like that.

And a braai to discuss rugby and whatever you menfolk talk about while warming your backsides and burning the braaibroodjies.

If I see the vaguest sign of the merest whiff of a puff over Casa Molly there'll be questions asked - I'm going to need her to hold my hand today.

Morning Molly!!!!! :l Isn't today's a late day for you?

Hoping this is the right thread:H

Miserable looking day here but have been up early had brekkie, washed my hair and ready for the day which is free as the grandchildren are on holiday.

Any good dinner recipes? Still drooling over Molly's caramalised onion, mint sauce etc. lamb combo.

Right must dry my hair and straighten it

I will readily admit to talking shite. But burn the braaibroodjies? NEVER! Mrs. T would hold it against me for ever.
