    Army Thread Tuesday 22nd April

anon;1651863 wrote: Hoping this is the right thread:H

Miserable looking day here but have been up early had brekkie, washed my hair and ready for the day which is free as the grandchildren are on holiday.

Any good dinner recipes? Still drooling over Molly's caramalised onion, mint sauce etc. lamb combo.

Right must dry my hair and straighten it
    Morning, Whizzy

How about a seafood pasta for dinner. Am leaning that way myself. What with some crayfish in the freezer.
    I'll do whatever it takes

I've never made pasta myself, mrsa. So go and buy ready-made stuff.

For the sauce: seafood. Cream. Herbs. Butter. Lemon. Garlic.

Heat pan. Add butter. Wait for small bubbles. Add seafood. Stir. Add garlic. Wait for heavenly smells.Stir. Add cream. Stir. Turn off heat. Add salt and pepper. Squeeze of lemon. Enjoy.

          Especially good with mussels.

I haven't even had brekkie, FFS.

Morning Anon-a-whizz! Don't think you really need a recipe for seafood pasta - whatever you seafood/fish fancy, some cream, garlic, squeeze of lemon, salt, pepper, dill or fennel, onion, parsley. And if I had crayfish in the freezer I doubt if I would add it to the pasta sauce - I would eat it on it's own, with loads of garlic butter. Hope the weather clears up later.

Another language question, though: when do I use -y instead of -ie.

                  Whizzie / y

                  Brekkie / y

                  Etc

I think the y ending is more common (simply because I use it :H:H), but both are acceptable.

How would you spell breaky/brekkie/brekky etc

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.
