Ahh yes cowboy, you are correct. We leave Friday. Anxious cause there is much to do. My son and hubs went to NYC for the work visa. Filled out tons of paper work. now Mark has to go back on Monday to pickup up his passport as they kept it. Normally they would mail it out, but time is definitely not on our side. For anyone who's interested, we live close to NYC but it's a huge deal to get there. Navigating, trains and subways. You do what you've got to do. Then we need to figure out how to pack for him. He needs work clothes in addition to cruise wear. I do not think I will have wifi, I may have data on my phone internationally. I will miss you all. Do not worry, all eyes will upon me on the al front.
Went to the flea market today. It was cool and rainy, but fun. Bought a brand new frying pan, of all things! Bargains, everywhere. Vendors were trying to sell what they could before the heavy rains came in.
Jackie, my parents Are german born and raised. For me either way that game goes it'll be a win.
AG I'm relaxing just thinking about being in that cAbin in Alaska, just lovely. I will be fine too once I get through what I anticipate will be a hectic week.
    Pauly, please check in.
Off to do some laundry. You guys mean a lot to me and I appreciate all your support:love:

      Liz-
Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch. I took it for four years in high school but Frau Klein preferred smoking and eating donuts over teaching. She seriously had students fix her car during class and left me in charge. Bad idea.

Jackie, Ja Ich spreche Deutsch! Meine Eltern sprechen Deutsch zu uns. I took german in high school too. On one test in particular the entire class failed and I got an A. The teacher told me I answered something correctly but she hadn't taught it yet. The other kids copied off my paper and they couldn't have known it. Good times!
Hi min, I have missed you. Enjoy the rest of your visit at the lakes, hope it clears up.
It's been a rainy cool weekend here, which is probably good as things are getting done.

Liz&Min- Guess we are the only ones awake! I wish we would get some cool, rainy weather here. It is supposed to be 90 degrees today. I am taking two of my friends to the horse races today and meeting some other friends at the track. We are going to be frying out in the sun. This is the hottest, driest stretch of weather I can remember. Western Washington is known for being cool&rainy-not this year. We have heat advisories and fire warnings throughout the state.
Pauly- If you are reading this could you please at least PM someone and let us know you are ok? I have an over active imagination and it is stressing me out that you haven't checked in. No lecture from me. Drinking or not I think everyone just wants to know that you are ok.
Hello to everyone else. Have a great Sunday!

Howdy everyone! Just a quick check in for now, home from the farm and relaxing in the house. Jackie, we are also having an extreme heat wave! 35C (102F) here today, just insane! We did manage to get a bunch of things done at the farm in the early morning and later evening. Too hot the rest of the day to do anything! Here's what Hank thought about any working/playing in the heat lol!

                    Hello All,

Mama here....back at Day 1 after a really bad month. Starting over again. Embarrassed. Disappointed. Scared. But more scared to NOT get sober. I have been in denial for way too long. I need to admit that I am out of control. But the only place I feel safe enought to do that is here online where no one knows me. Hubby, family & friends, NO ONE knows how bad this is. So I am turning back to you guys for support, encouragement, advise.

                    THANK YOU!!!!!

Welcome back mama! One thing to learn is that this is almost impossible to do on your own...and if you feel you can only do online support, then you have to be online everyday! The day will most likely come when you confide in your hubby, but if you can't do that right now, we'll help in any way we can. You can do it, just take it one day at a time. Visit the toolbox for tips that can help, read/post/read!

                          Cowboy,

THANK YOU so much for the quick reply. The early part of the day was easy, but it is dinner time here on the east coast and that is when I REALLY want to drink.

I plan to stick close by and read/post/read whenever I can get away from the hubby & kids.

                          Thanks again!!!!!!

Then grab a substitute NA drink, fizzy water, iced tea, whatever! Nibble on food as you prepare dinner, think how nice it will be to get a good nights sleep and wakeup with no GRS in the morning..

If you need to chat/text/talk I'll share my number or FB

Hey mama, welcome back. We are here for you. My drink of choice these days is pink lemonade and "fizzy" water as cowboy calls it. I know what you mean about reading and posting. I like my privacy when I come here. My family does know, though. If you want to talk I am here for you. Hate to admit I've been around the block a few times, I get it.

Thanks guys. You are GREAT!!! I remember several people talking about drinking a lot of NA drinks. So I have had about a liter of Rasberry Seltzer in the last hour and my nerves have calmed down a bit.
