we are having a meeting at our house with the youth justice people. we have been warned it can be a confrontational meeting as the details and charges will be read. We will learn exactly what has been admitted to and his statement will be read to us. wish us luck, its the first step towards the help and dare i say the cliche 'closure' we so badly need.

Aspy that's gonna be hard to hear...remember to breathe & although you will feel like punching the person doing the reading they are just the messenger. And, the universe knows what in the perpetrators heart & soul...it also knows why it's like that & who is responsible for HIM being f**ked up.

Undies I've been very B&I but I (like Happs) had some excellent news on Tuesday...went for the annual CT scan & got the ALL CLEAR. They check my lungs because if the c-word was to come back that's the closest organ...I can't tell you what a relief it is. I now need to deal with the lead up to this thing, next year, better...I was drinking waaaaaayy too much & smoking due to the stress with a "well, I've really done it now" attitude. No more, Undies. No more. And I slept so well and woke up refreshed today for the first time in months.

Wow ABMe, that's wonderful news. I'm so happy for you. I love your attitude too, you've been given a fantastic second chance and it sounds as though you're about to make the most of it!

Aspy, my thoughts will be with you and your beautiful family as always. You still have some really tough steps ahead of you, so you need to be prepared for that and perhaps have some strategies you can use if (or more probably when) you get really p*ed off with it all. We're all so proud of the way you decided to stop drinking to be a better role model for your kids and this is another example where you can show them that there's a better way to handle things than losing your temper. You may need to punch a lot of pillows in the privacy of your bedroom, but the kids seeing you being calm will reassure them that all is OK in the world and that's what they need to see most at the moment. Many hugs. :l

So, how're you going now Happs? recuperating OK?

Thanx gang, It was a bit of a storm in a tea cup. we got letters addressed individually to the four of us in the house, with the charges written in legalese. no surprises there except the same charges it seems twice for the same child, we declined to have the ladies read it to us because we were concerned it was going to be to stressful and we planned to read it in front of some support but wifiey could not contain the curiosity and it was a bit flat afterward.

they say if will be at least a minimum of SIX months until the actual conference.

I'm glad it wasn't as bad as you expected Aspy. It's a shame it's going to drag on for so long, but at least you can all work on healing in the meantime and you'll be a lot stronger and perhaps better able to deal with it when the time comes.
