    Underoo's Magical May

nicelife;1664066 wrote: Hey Happs - had a dream about you this morning. We were on holiday, you were cleaning our little house and a truck came, hitched you up and took you off to a better part of the resort! Why did I get left behind? Pfffft.
:H:H Obviously because I was cleaning, which I don't do in this life so glad I was doing it somewhere...

Yep, I'm on for the caramel slice too, it came down on my Facebook feed and I had to look back and then went to the raw choc recipe. Soooo goood...that doco was all over my FB feed too Ficks, I must have a look at it. Very interesting.

Bit of an icky morning, but it's become better, skipped yoga class and now getting myself together to watch locusts play football. Outdoors would be good for a little bit I think.

    Have a gorgeous day Undies!

      Good morning Undies.
Watched the Sydney Lights news item last night so Mr Rags and I are going up to the big smoke this arvo and looking at the lights (all but one of y cameras are broke).
For those who know Sydney will either leave car in St Peters and get bus, hop off at the Cenotaph which has a display happening, then down to the Quay, take in the colour there, then hop a ferry to Darling Harbour where there's another light show every hour.
Or, leave car at Glebe and get light rail to Central then after dinner it'll be easier to get back to the car.
Won't see it all, but I love colour and movement and there'll be plenty of it.

Have booked a late dinner at the Flying Fish. Don't know if we'll go a la or disgusting.

This will probably double as my birthday dinner, as we'll be on an RFS training weekend on my birthday.

Bridge, isn't it good being able to go to a lounge and just have a coke, coffee or mocktail.

The Gabapentin is kicking in nicely and relieving a lot of that continuous pain. Just need to be careful not to move my arm.

Aspey, I've found 5 geocaches. And am still stuck on level 102.

Ooh Rags. Vivid - Kate Miller Heidke is performing. Way cool.

I'm xorsted. A few hours sitting in the sun watching the locusts get thrashed and eating the meat out of burgers. Home feels pretty good right now, haha...

The Lamp is busy jackhammering away downstairs making some more space in the house, dog love him...

Ooo we went to a drive-in a couple of weeks ago with the monkeys. They had a 50's Diner in the middle, it was a beautiful night and it was like camping with everyone sitting around their cars...was fun.

Hi all, been up since Sparrows -5am to go to the fruit & veggie markets in Homebush. The one where restaurants & grocers get their stuff from. The pineapple guy was pissed. It was 6.30am. Glad I wasn't!!

Making pizzas then a movie, think we'll watch 'Mystery Road'. Aussie outback thriller...Aaron Pederson in it *sigh*

Evening Undies ??. just back from my great niece's 5 year old birthday party. 7 wee girls, aged from 3-8, all dressed up as Princesses, complete with lots of gauze and cardboard tiaras. Pink was definitely the color de jour. (although some of the pink verged on a more subversive purple ) I was a little bit horrified, but they were all so lovely to each other, there were no tantrums, and the gift that seemed to be the most favored was a light saber :H:H A lovely afternoon :h

Hope all undies had a great day ??. we are just settling down for a DVD before yet another early night ??.

They look good enough to eat!
Yesterday I asked Mr. Rags to help clear pest vine growing over my veggie
patch but to be careful not to cut the passionfruit vine as the leaves looked
vaguely similar but not really. Having closely supervised him for most of the
clearing I turned my back to pull out some cobblers pegs with my good hand,
                  when he said
"Uh oh, I think I've cut the passionfruit vine"
                  He had.
How the hell he could've mistaken it I don't know.
MY HUSBAND redeemed himself soon after by driving up to Sinney to see some of
                  VIVID.
Some piccies to come later in the day when I get on the pc.

I googled drive ins only to find Bass Hill closed and Blacktown the only
                    one left is at Blacktown.
Must pack a thermos of soup and go there some time with Mr Rags.

                      Morning Undies,
Feeling very jealous of your fabulous veggie patch Happs.. Mine is totally neglected. Must remedy some time before spring. Right now trying to drag kiddos out of bed for a 12 k walk. They are very hard to shift... sticking like s**t to the proverbial blankets.

Lovely looking garden Happs! Enjoy all those green leafy things!!

Rags - how were the lights?

Fickle - finally got to bake the life changing loaf today!! Made it yesterday, but I was a bit worried that it was a bit wet and wouldn't hold together so I left it in the fridge overnight. The loaf tin is about 2 cm longer than my best airtight container, so I had to chop a bit off to sample (with avocado ) ?? OMD: it is so good!!! I left out the salt because of my blood pressure, and I might add a bit in there next time, but otherwise it tastes really delicious!! I love those very nutty types of tastes.

We will have it tonight with this:

It has been on since 11am and is smelling divine!! I added lots of garlic seeing as we are coming up to the cold and flu season

Love to all undies and ovaries :happyheart::wavin::happyheart::wavin::happyheart:

Yeah, I'm going to enjoy this new pastime. Just using my phone, which is very accurate, but gee some of the caches are bloody hard to find.

I LOVE PINK! I'll have to come up sometime and we can watch it together.

                            They were lovely.

I'm going up to Sinney on Tuesday and am going to plan my day so I get to see some again in less crowded conditions.

You must go to Martin place and check out the tree on the CTA building. It is absolutely wonderful. The base of the building is a tree trunk, and branches and leaves spread out over the top of the bulding. Worms and ladybugs crawl up the trunk, while birds fly around the top. Absolutely stunning.
Meanwhile on the building next door, green and red worms crawl up 33 stories, while butterflies flit round.
This is so much better than the first couple of light shows I went to.

It was really crowded out on Sat. and we had to wait in line for 2 ferries before we could get one. The trip took 48 minutes. It usually takes about 20 minutes.
Got the light rail back to where we'd parked the car. It was packed, and a lovely young lady offered me her seat when she saw me in a sling and looking frazzled. Very nice gesture.
Going to see if Mr Rags will come up again on Friday. Said I'd shout him dinner at Spencer Guthrie. Would you and Mr. Missy like to come?

And part of the tree display in Martin Place.

From there we wandered down to Circular Quay to get the ferry to Darling Harbour
where we were having late dinner.

Even the ferries are all decked out in fancy LED lighting .
These two are Golden Grove and Friendship, 2 of the First Fleet Class ferries.
If you are interested, the other FF ferries are Charlotte, Alexander, Fishburn,Sirius, Supply, Borrowdale and Scarborough.
They were all built about 1985, are about 25metres long and can hold about 400 passengers, and just do innner harbour runs.
BTW when I was in Qld last week I asked one of the kids (she's almost 13) the name of any 3 of the ships of the first fleet.
                              She didn't have a clue.
Sad. Bet she knows who the first president of the United States was.

Take a look at the zillions of people waiting to get on the ferry.
It was like that at every stop.
The deckhands had counters to monitor the number of people getting on and off so they
                                didn't overload.
