One Step at a Time - May 2014

There are a few wild turkeys and a peacock that hang out in the field down the road. First time I saw them I thought I was seeing them until I saw them on FB. We live in the burbs....lots of wild life.

I'm in the midst of Veggies and I didn't even know it. You too Nora! :wow:

My home made soup was very tasty... and I followed it with a store bought frozen Qrunch Quinoa Burger... that shit's gooood... see if you can find it. So far so good... )

Not sure about the turkey hunting Fenny... you like those birdies... :l Maybe they shouldn't do that again...

I made the soup out of the "debris" from a juice I had earlier today. So I've actually managed to cook cheaper than usual too. Who knew?

Zen how did u make a soup out of the juice debris?? I would love to re-use that. Some of it I put in the dogs food but that is as creative as I have gotten.

I juiced the ends off a big pack of asparagus from Costco, 1 carrot, 2 celery stalks, ends off a bunch of cilantro. (I use a centrifugal juicer.) Drank that. Then I fried an onion and garlic in a pot, and added the fiber from the juice to the pan, some water, a can of coconut milk, green Thai curry paste, vegetable bullion and a sachet of Truvia... let it simmer till cooked, cooled it, and put it through the blender.

                            Happy May, Steppers.

                            Congrats Dottie - that's a huge milestone.

Nora, will you be able to check in while you're away?
