One Step at a Time - May 2014
Busy morning. making calls to get folks out to fix a few things on the house. Hard to coordinate folks when do dont live there. Not going to be cheap but I am not stressing myself out by trying to do it all myself. The money will just come out of the proceeds eventually.
Off to the gym then more calls. What fun!!

Hi Everyone!
Rusty - I LOL'd at your description of me being naughty and throwing my play-doh around! HA...I guess the PD will overlook it this time, but I better never do it again!
Mama - I read The Goldfinch, like 50 books ago, so I don't remember what it was about, but I do remember I thought it was good at the time (yes, my old age is setting in). That's sad about Bri...how do they tell there are possible abnormalities? Like what kind? Your pics on FB were great! Sierra and her 3 cousins pulled off their Comedy Night show...it was very SILLY...but I kept right on laughing. I seemed to be in charge of getting the audience involved because I would start the clapping and singing along. Much to my child's dismay, no doubt. LOL She is gone :upset: 2 weeks in Missouri. Good for her, sad for me!
We do all seem to be in this parent thing together. My moms surgery is on Thursday, but I'm more worried about my dad...he seems to be taking it harder than she is! It's so sad to see them aging...
I suppose I should pretend to work for a while. I'll be back later!
p.s. Hi FT, Zenny, Fenny, GHE, Nicey, Pauly and everyone else my darn memory forgot. lol:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

HEY FT...your enthusiasm always makes me smile!!!! Congrats hunny bunny!!
Bri is only 28, so I doubt it's Downs Syndrome. This is a time when the internet is a HORRIBLE thing to look at. Spina Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, Encepo-something......it's horrible...:-(
The Goldfinch was about the young boy, Theo, who's mother is killed in the museum explosion and he steals the rare painting.....it won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature.I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Mama, I agree that it's never a good idea to Google and find out what could be wrong...but it's hard not to, I understand. Katy Perry sounds like a blast! June would be out since I will just be starting my new job...I probably shouldn't ask for time off the first week...after ALL THIS I've gone through. LOL
OMG - My boss is in the Big Boss's office with that forced laugh of hers...*cringe*...makes the hair on my upper lip stand up (unlike Nora I still have a 'stache...LOL) A few more days, a few more days, a few more days...I keep repeating it to myself.
I will be off Thursday and Friday for my moms surgery, and Monday is a holiday...so hopefully the next 2 weeks will fly by...and then I am OUT!:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

YAY Niner.....prayers UP for your Mommy
I probably couldn't afford to fly and meet you in LA anyway, but a girl can dream, right??
I sent poor Bri home.....I cannot imagine the agony of having to wait and see if your baby has birth defects....I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Nora? How are you doing today? Are you feeling better?
Dotts? How are things going with your parents house? Are you making headway?
Ginger? I think it was Van Gogh that lopped his ear off? he probably had tinnitus. Is your ear better?
Hiya Allswell! X
Fenny, I just tried to color my text... WTF?! Where'd the feature go? (What?s a ramp?)
Sorry to hear about Bri?s bloodwork Mama? wouldn?t wish that on anyone, not even PG&S? horrible.
Niner? LMAO at your ?tache standing on end!!!
:waving: at everyone else!
It?s windy here too Niner? and I have to trim the bloody palm tree outside my window, the scratching on the screen is driving me nuts.
Well, Bill pulled another drunk arsehole stunt last night but this time he suffered the consequences. I had Jim come and pick him up and bring him to his house to sleep the night. Jim?s a/c in the part of the house he slept is broken so he got to sweat his bollox off (sorry!). I took his house key from him and when Jim dropped him off this a.m. I had him turn around and leave immediately, not even a shower. Told him to go to the movies after work and I?ll text him about when he can come back here. Jim told him he can never drink in my house again. (Jim is 6?3? and built like a brick shithouse so he tends to listen to him. He?s also his client.) He is a hair?s breadth from being told to leave permanently. Of course, I?ve felt like crap about it all day today? same old shit and nobody to blame but myself, I know. He?s doing some really important work for Jim and Jim doesn?t want me to throw him out? so he?ll handle the heat for me from now on. I?m actually a pretty forgiving person but I?m right at my limits with this shit.
Anyhooooooo??
I found an awesome Cartier knock-off today! It?s gawjus and looks like the real deal. I needed a treat.
