One Step at a Time - May 2014

Thanks Mama...love you too! I'm sure it will be fine.

I am eating a yummy tuna sandwich from Subway...it's like my 4th Subway sandwich this week. LOL

My boss seems overly-happy that I am leaving. I think it makes her feel important when she is left to do everything (like last June with my broken foot fiasco).
:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

RnR at the lake sounds awesome Mama.
How can you beat having the police chief being your bestie K9? Time to shake things up at the PD!

Had a great day today at work primarily because a few black clouds that have been hanging over resolved themselves in my clients favor and I'm learning to get better at separating personal and professional. It's not healthy to worry about work and client situations every waking moment.

          Peace of mind is essential!
2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

I hope the baby does not have T-18...but if he or she does, sometimes they can do okay medically, sort of like Down Syndrome. Much higher mortality rate, though.

Zen, I hope you stick to your guns with Bill.

Niner, I am glad that you will soon be liberated from your boss. :H

Tired from all the running around. Checkout a kennel for doggies. I know dh wants to see his son retire from the air force so I will suck it up and somehow make the trip happen. This place had doggie day care so they aren't cooped up in cages all day. We are going to try a trial day at day camp first then a weekend trip. Then we will decide if we can leave them for a week.
              So much to do.....boohiss....

Dottie...dh and his ex were already split up when you met, right? I'm just trying to figure out where all this antipathy is coming from. Is the mom single? Or is she with somebody else now? Just so odd!

Tomorrow, I meet up with my best friend for breakfast.

I cannot figure out where the allergy tabs I purchased yesterday have vanished to!

Going to order soil for the cabin.

I hope all my peeps have a lovely weekend. Kudos to all of us who have veterans in the family.

fen I agree. No clue where the hostility came from. His daughter and I get along OK I guess but his son not so much..but for dh I will suck it up and go...but will not let him diss me in any way....he is an officer in the air force so used to folks cow towing to him.....NOT ME. But I will not instigate either. We are staying in a hotel so that is good...dh understands and does not get it either but because this is important to him and he is important to me...we will go..

One Step at a Time - May 2014

Hi guys! Happy to report that I have no pain from the root canal re-do... just relief. Finally. I've been living in constant pain to the point I didn't realize it.

So... I'm slobbing on my couch in peace and quiet... I have no intentions of putting my dishes in the dishwasher... and I don't have to worry about the TV volume. YAY!!! I'm a really neat and tidy person, don't get me wrong, but this is great stuff being a slob! Can't do it normally for fear he'll imitate me! hehe...

That effing root canal redo cost me a cool $1,275. What the flying f*ck?! I thought it would be around $700 which is plenty bad enough. I have to go back next week so he can x-ray and make sure all is well before they seal it up properly. And ANOTHER course of antibiotics (which I hate taking). But the pain's gone. He gave me a script for strong painkillers but I don't even need them.

OK, well, think I'll run around the house naked now yelling "woooohooooo"... just cos I can!!! :H

Dottie... I had a boyfriend with a 6 year old boy from his divorce... I was as nice as pie to that kid but he couldn't stand me. I guess they just blame the next love interest for the divorce.

Zen I think that he/son might think that if I wasn't in the picture that he and X would get back together...she/X dumped him and hurt him badly...who knows what the son is thinking...We have been together for 20 years and married for 18....he/son can kiss my ass...

Oh and I am sure he is worried about his inheritance....we are NOT rich and my part of this goes to animal shelters and his daughter....his half is split between his kids AFTER I die...needless to say they are NOT my POA for healthcare....

                                Good morning loves!
New wives bear the brunt of a lot of "stuff" when there are kids involved.
I think you are being kind and supportive of your hubs, Dots, and I respect you for that❤️
Zen- I adore my family but l adore my nights alone. Enjoy!!
Thinking of you this morning K9.
Hey ALLSWELL!!!! I do the same thing babe! I am an emotional sponge.
My parents didn't show up for dinner last night. Major communication screw up, but we will get it sorted.
Off to deal with Bri and more drama. I know that sounds mean, but I don't know what else to call it.
