    Army thread Wednesday 7 May

    :l Satz :l

    :wavin: Folksies

I must admit that I've had a lekker day. Voted early, came home, slacked around, pootled about, took niece back to res, risked my life with a driving lesson, started a lamb curry for dinner, and am now lying stretched out on the couch.

I can get used to mid- week breaks.

Mollyfangs , JC, wind did not blow me or glass away; it was a strong pull, but certainly not a craving; and anyway the drinking spots were closed - not that I would have gone there. Uncomfortably stuffed at the moment - Mr Nice and I went crazy at the feeding trough.

But thanks - just had to get it out of my system, and posting was the only safe way of doing so. :l:l:l:l

            Massive kudu fillet. Butter tender.

Mum's a farm dog and has a lot of Lab blood, dad an unknown no-good so-and-so drifter who'll never pay his papgeld :H

Re the driving lessons: what I said some time ago: driving school. Save your sanity.

Grumpy Penguin, but being on a couch is hard work... And he's making lamb curry tonight - the leftovers will be even better tomorrow night, so I'm currying :H:H:H favour here.

Keep thinking that tomorrow's Sunday - these public holidays are messing with my internal calendar.

JC, have you had a look at Kimberley's book yet? I've skimmed it, and enjoyed what I took in.

Good evening ladies and MrT :wavin:

First day back to mad house survived -thankfully! Awful sad tho- had a wee man- would be termed an alco. fond of his Guinness! came in in an awful state- spent large part of afternoon trying to clean him up. So sad to see where this disease can take a body

Fed and watered now- not fit to move for a bit so will sit awhile afore ironing and nightly soak

                              Puppy update, then bed.

I've a box in which I keep old newspapers for the vet - puppy has just been at it, pulling the top ones down to the floor, and is now barking madly at this "threat"!!! Amazing how well she's settled in - thinks the whole house is one giant play pen and chewy toy.
