    Army thread Wednesday 14 May

DreamThinkDo;1660939 wrote: :welcome: Kicking Ken from Clondalkin - but still want to know what the poor Ken has done wrong? Damo, good to have plans in place for an AF holiday, but for myself, I get worried when I start overthinking things - jinx myself by inviting Al thoughts in. You know that compartmentalised thinking that you blokes are supposed to do so well - think work at work, think soccer at the field - could you put drinking on holiday in a box, lock it up and shove it to the backest corner at the back of your mind? It's like Byrdie's peanut allergy analogy - if you can't eat peanuts because it would kill you, would you obsess about not being able to eat peanuts?

Anon-a-whizz, copy and paste long posts before you hit send; it's about the only way to save long posts. Not that I ever follow that piece of advice :H

Hugs, Molly, hope it's not too painful.

It's 11 here, so Satzy's hair is being dressed as we speak.

And thanks for the sweet wishes and thread - you're such darlings.
    Thanks DTD.
"Damo" was a spur of the moment name I picked when i signed up here.
I am Ken , kicking is "kicking the booze" .

I will take your advice , and it s exactly what I need to do.
Back to basics , one day at a time.

    Have a great day
    Ken x

Ken was my Dad's name.........he was an alcoholic and was sober for way over 25 years when he died.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I dont think i can deal with Damo's demise and now becoming Ken. Oh dear!

dont stress about that holiday, you will be fine and amaze yourself at what you were worrying for, it is a needless worry that as Dream states "put it in a box", you dont need the worry and you will totally be fine. Who the fark wants to lose 100 days Ken. (there i said it).
