Wasted journey to the Licence place - forgot to bring proof of NID
FFS I had my old licence , passport, proof of address, application form, photo,
and that still wasn't enough to prove who the feck I am.
Luckily I realized this early on while queuing with the other downtrodden dopes who didn't know they could book an appointment on line.

So we were on the rejects Q hoping to get a slot - FFS !!
I just walked out relieved & will make an appointment for some other time .....

Photo licence has to be renewed every five years, on pain of death. Or a fine.

On further investigation if you hold a photo driving license it has to be renewed every 10 years...............but a paper one doesn't need renewing at all.

Seeing how I passed my test 35 years ago mine is still the paper one.............not that I drive very often..........don't know who's more scared me or the other road users.

Oops, ten years.

You not a photo card? I passed nearly 30 years ago and I've got one. I think it's because I changed my title. I had to get one then.

Came in April 1999. Changed my name 1985 and address 1987 so have never needed to renew it again.
