    Thanx everyone.

    Well I doubled up in my anti-ds last nite. I think I missed a few, so that didn't help. My husband has been a rock. It's sooo ironic. I was the one bringing up tapering down or stopping altogether, the booze, and he resisted. Then he finally saw the doc and now he is doing better, emotion wise, than me! Don't know why that pisses me off...but it does!..LOL.

    Anyway took sleeping pills last nite and slept thru the nite. I think I feel better, I know your support sure helps.:thanks:

      Please be careful in doubling up on the anti-d's. I take Prozac and changes in dosage must always be gradual and carefully done.
      In any case, I'm glad you slept well. Today is a new day (AF)

        This might sound silly but I have been known to take a shower and wash my cares away down the drain got out dried off and looked in the mirror and got a fresh outlook on at least part of the day.

          I think double didgets is great only on day 5 myself well done keep going i need your inspiration, love to hear people greeping along, and i am sure there will be ups and downs, mybe you are depressed about the sunshine because you are at work, its freezing down under and that is really depressing. KEEP GOING YOU CAN DO IT...

            is funny how without the booze, there is just life. no thing to make it any different then it is. it is just there. nothing to make it any different. i'm personally eating strawberries to pass the time away and instead of wine. i've opted in for my new favorites of vitamin water and teas. i'm now going to become a tea connisuer. it is good to be feeling just feeling and to have community. nite nite

              You where the first person to chat to me in (chat), and mad me feel so welcome, you have gone 19 days now I think, ( SOMETHING TO BE SOOOOOO PROUD OF) YOU are someone I look up to as I have only managed to go to days. So hold in there sweet you can do anything.

                Ok... I have the perfect solution... its a bit rique... you say you and your hubby are doing this together and you are a bit down today? When you get off work.. dash home and ... well... check him for owwies since he fell off his bike, then lets see what happens and see if you stay depressed

                Usually helps my wife change moods

                BTW you are doing great and I am trying to add some fun into this thread. Everyone has down times trying to get through this. I know in the last couple of months I sure have had quite a number of downer days! They pass like everything else. Just ride it out.. no pun intended

                  Hart, I think we all have our days. Sometimes things just don't feel right even if there is not a glaring problem. Hang on an this too will pass.

                        suppose it is kind of hard to stay depressed when the fellas are asking you to check your loved one for ticks and owwie? lol wow, yeah that would certainly get your mind off of things. speaking of which, when on your enlightened path and i mean that with a bright and smiley face not one of much significance did you ever think that perhaps changing your career if it was stressful might be a good idea down the line? i'm only asking because i'm in real estate and mortgages. and well, i wonder if this doesn't seem to perpetuate my world or if it at all matters. i actually don't know. maybe you could be a monk and still have this craving. i just don't know. hummmmm. ponder ponder. well ticks ahoy

                            After over 20 years at the gvmt, I will stick in this field.....but BELIEVE ME I am looking for another job. As for a monk....there are at least two reasons I don't think I'd be suitable.....:H

                              Hart, be careful with anti-ds. I don?t know what are you taking, but unless absolutely nessesary try not to increase the recommended dosage. I am personally terrified of developing a new addiction, after giving up smoking a while ago and now on my way of talking my drinking problem. There is a natural supplement 5-HTP which increases the level of serotonin. Work well for me.

                                yes i take 5 htp and i take tyrosine as well. they are supplements.
