      Gloomy and overcast here. Going to take mom to her appt., then we are stopping by my dad's grave to clean it up and put out his skwerl statue. He was also a huge skwerly fan.

      Liz - I'm so glad everything went well for the wedding. The empty nest pain does fade in time, but allow yourself to grieve in the meantime. :h

        Good for you mama! I'm on the same page as you. My normally even tempered husband had a fit with me today,because he couldn't hear something I said, as the t.v. was on. He carried on and left for work with so much as a goodbye. I said nothing and didn't argue back. Just not worth it. I believe he is in denial about his hearing problem. I don't have to be right, I'm not arguing over the little stuff. After he left I devoured a bag of M&M, a girls gotta cope!

                Liz, I have a sort of hearing conundrum where if there is any sort of background noise, I can't hear very well. I wonder if hubs has that? Mrs. Fen will typically ask me a question when she is in the next room, with the sink running- and I really can't hear her. Technically, I don't think my hearing is bad, though. I hope hubs is nicer upon his return.

                Thanks for all the birthday well wishes, and thanks for letting me be your wedding witness, mama. That is, should the occasion ever arise.

                  I am just home from picking up our marriage certificate- I got four altogether, just in case we should need copies.

                  MIL phoned me today to wish me happy birthday and marriage. I told her that being legally married to her daughter was the best birthday present I could ever receive, which touched her. She said she was glad that we were finally legal. :h

                    Crazy day. Got some of the files copied to my new laptop. Going to try a few more things later. My head is about to explode right now. Called the Geek squad and will take them my old laptop to see if they can put in a new hard drive so we can give it to dh's daughter.
                    Tomorrow we meet the contractor at other house to see what he can do with ALL the crap that needs to be done there. Going to rain tomorrow too so I think we will take a different route...not so much construction and traffic....as dh's driving sometimes scares the pee out of me....

                      OK making slow progress on the transfer of files...got my favorites and all my outlook folders moved. now I need to figure out how to move the address book...damn I am good!!! Also moved to Mozilla for a browser and I feel more at home already...
                      The brain cells are not all gone....woohoo!!!

                                Hope I'm not too late to wish Fen a Happy Birthday! Geminis unite!

                                Glass, so envious of your trip to the Galapagos Islands. Ecuador is on top of my list of places to get to. Sounds like an absolutely fantastic trip.
