Also, I wonder if some of the women Piper knew in prison feel a sense of betrayal at all. I will go and do some searching...maybe they're getting a cut of the royalties!

Crazy Eyes is the best actress in the show. I agree. HBO did the same thing to Game of Thrones.....they sexed it up ALOT, but that stuff sells........look at all of us here being entertained by it. Pennsatucky is here, but complaining she may have pink eye......sigh
Nursie -with the pain meds in me, I feel fine. When they wear off, I am in agony. I am actually getting a little scared about what they may find next with with my smash-o-gram and chest x-ray, but I am forcing happyy, butterfly thoughts into my head.
EW - I am decked out in obnoxious red, white and blue in anticipation of Team USA playing on Sunday.....
and yes Fenny, my make up melts off by the end of the day...but I powder my nose like a true Southern Belle and wear LOTS of hair spray!!
And yes, Piper did it for the money...............and the fame...........not sure I blame her!!I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Mama, "Pink eye" is no reason for Pennsatucky to go home. She can go to the urgicare after work and get some drops for it.
I hear you about fame/money. Still, it made me feel sad in the scene where Alex and Piper are sitting together and Crazy Eyes chimes in with her "Vanilla and vanilla swirl" stuff, and segues into how if Piper were still her wife, she'd tell her how much she likes her titties- and Piper is covering her mouth, laughing at her.
I guess there was a tiny bit of waspy condescension on her part in the book, but to see her character now poking fun at these women who really went out of their way to make her comfy in prison is a bit too much for me. If you read the book, when she was newly in prison and completely freaked out, women were approaching her to ask if she was okay, and giving her hygiene and other supplies that she wouldn't have been able to purchase for herself for ages.
Sorry, I'm sucking up this thread. Maybe we should have a book/movie/series review thread...:h

Mama, maybe you could call your doc's office and have them prescribe those lido patches for you...and you could pick them up on the way home?
They really do work. My mom had a ton of pain from being cracked open like a walnut for her bypass surgery, and the patches were a god-send for her.

Hi all my tile and non tile friends.
Rained/stormed all night. Doggie cuddled close so not much good sleep.
Off to the gym then more work around here. We are making progress so maybe this is a good thing to kick us in the arse to get started.
We will go to rental on Tuesday and work over there next.
Hope I can enjoy the trip to Colorado. They called to say it is the alternator on the RV and that is NOT cheap to fix but what choice do we have.
Always something...

Good morning......
I am so happy that 'we' were able to resolve Dottie's tile problems. :H I loved that.
And, I agree 10000% with Zen -
I thought about that. Nope. You were not meant to be a male. You were meant to be you, as you are. So YOU need to accept YOU my dear... (I'll send you the bill...)
Got to get out of here so that I'm not late again. :wavin: to all.
Good luck today Nursie!"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Wee fly-by but I'll be back in a while if anyone's around. I'm camped out at Jim's house today overseeing his a/c unit being installed... he had to go help a friend and couldn't get out of it. (Now that he drove the GF off with lack of a/c and hot water he has installed a new water heater and is replacing the entire a/c unit! I shouldn't laugh, but it's quite amusing imho!) Anyway, I'll be around a bit today as this is going to get booooring over here!
Going to feed Marley and make some eggs for moi...

Good luck with your bathroom project dottie. It does sound like a do-able job for you and dh if you've still got all the original tiles in one piece. Hope the RV doesn't cost an arm and a leg, not that anything to do with motor vehicle repairs ever seems to be cheap, sadly.
Congratulations on your new job at the water treatment plant niner. Is it official yet? When will you start?
And well done on TTFP Nora!
Glad the pain pills are working mama. Try not to worry about what they may or may not find when they do the x-ray and stuff. Easier said than done, I know. Great news about the car! My brother's just bought a new car. (According to my mum it's a red one!) I would have bought his old one off him if he'd have mentioned he was going to get rid of it. My old banger dates back to the last century and will have to be replaced soonish. Oh...and I know what an octo-orgy is! :H
Zenny, I can't keep up with all the different changes to your eating habits! :nutso: Honestly, feeding oneself really shouldn't be so complicated.
Amy still has an upset stomach and soiled her bedding again last night. She seems fine otherwise, so I'm holding off on a trip to the vet. The washing machine, on the other hand, is on the verge of a nervous breakdown...
Apologies to those I've missed, it's hard to keep track when you're new to the thread and so much is going on.

Reccy - sorry that Amy is still sick. I'll bet your washing machine is sorry too.
Fen - have a great weekend at the cabin
Dottie - I can't believe how busy you are all the time!!
Zen - hope you don't get too bored today :H
Ok - I've got to run - I'm at work and this is frowned upon. I can't believe they expect me to work and not chat with my friends The nerve of some employers. :H"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Holy crap on a stick y'all were busy last night!!! I can't believe I missed the whole Tile conversation...were you guys wearing your toolbelts as you were typing?
Fenny - It's interesting to hear how OITNB is veering away from the book...I think I'd really like to read the book now! I LOVE me some crazy eyes...I saw an interview with that actress and it's amazing how she can pull off that character. I was all into it last night when I made the mistake of texting my gay friend that retired to tell him I was going to the Water Plant (he worked there MANY moons ago as the Office Manager)...so of course he didn't text back, he called and I could NOT get off the phone for 45 minutes...LOL...thank goodness my phone battery died or I'd still be on there. HA (p.s. not that "gay" matters, but it gives you a better idea of how he LOVES to gossip...I know, stereotypes...sorry but it's true in this case...lol)
Anywhoo....I hope to get my AB today, the damn insurance better have their shit together...much as I want it, I am not spending $171 on it!
Good news on the car Mama! Mine is a 2000 but I love it. It has a few things falling apart, like when you hit a speed bump, numbers 4 and 6 fall off the radio. LOL Oh, and the drivers side window doesn't roll up, so when we go through a drive thru, I have to sit in the back and order through that window. And both sides of the back fenders have dents, Sierra says it's cute and looks like "dimples"....um...no. Other than that, it's great!
Can it please be 5 already?
Everyone have a great day...back later! :h:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.
