We'll..this has been tough...no question. I'm waiting for the girls - they're doing the finale. God this was back to back 3 hour shows. And we have to do it again tomorrow.

You know I do love to see the girls perform but I walked in to the green room with all that fricken chaos only to have the costume woman come over and tell me that my last costume check had bounced....

Honestly it just got progressively worse from there...I just need to breathe and remember that it's all good...it's all just part and parcel of this journey.
I need to be grateful that despite all the crap I endured today....I have these great kids to scream at in the end :h
Thanks for the texts Nora...you keep me grounded :l

I hear the final applause so they should be coming down about...now!!!! Yea!! I'm free!!!!

Oh..thanks for the tights offer, Zen ! I forgot the girls sox for their tap number so the entire troupe had to perform without their sox!!:upset:

        Should have asked for sox...:H

          Morning Everyone,

Sounds like you are all busy with one thing and another! Kradle what is the show the girls are doing?

Hope you're doing well Nora - know what it's like in the early days as I'm there also - keep the focus - I'm just keeping hold of being a good Daddy for Little Miss EW at the moment and it is serving me well.

Reccie - how about that Germany V Ghana game? Was disappointed the Ghanaian s couldn't hold on!

Mama - hope your bits are feeling better today.

Zen - did you get your early night?

So, I keep reading about OITNB on here - is it worth getting stuck into? Once I commit I'm holding you lot responsible!

            Morning/afternoon

Happy anniversary mama! Have you got anything planned or will it be a quiet day at home?

PS, I want to know how you found out about me and the tights!

Sounds like a tough weekend kradle. Remember to bring the socks today! :goodjob:

Enjoy the pastor going away thingy dottie. Ouch! on the RV bill. :upset:

Zenny, I'm with you, I don't do breakfast, but if pizza was on offer I reckon I could be persuaded. Was the reggae singer at the HOA meeting any good?

            How was your hike nursie?

It was a great match wasn't it EW? I wanted the Ghanians to win too. Incidentally, my niece just came back from Ghana last week after doing voluntary work there for a while. You seem to be doing better now, which is good to see.

Do you have your own pool lizann? It's been rather warm here lately and I really wish there was a pool outside to go and cool off in.

I hope you won't have to go in to work today as well pauly.

I should get off my arse now and go and do some housework. :upset: Will check back later.

            Have a great Sunday, everyone.

Aww Nora, you're doing great! The sleep will get better. Do you have to be up early in the mornings? That just adds to my stress level.
Reccie , yes we have our own pool. It's above ground and I love sitting in my lounger and read! No one was around yesterday. My sister was also alone. She came over with lunch. We had such a lovely afternoon. She's my twin and always there when I need her!! So her and I lounged and chatted and ate!
Watched the World Cup game with my son, he was decked out in his Germany jersey! Alas that didn't really help.
Off to wake the little ones for church. Happy Sunday my friends!

                Hello all,
Gotta say, it feels so good to wake up without guilt! I still have guilt from the last stretch of drinking I had, and still need to air it out with my family (I got drunk on Father's Day at my dad's house). I knew they were worried that day and I haven't drank since.
It's embarrassing to have them see me like that.
But I'm in the right direction now, and I hope it shows!
It's just proof that each time we slip, we go further down. I don't ever want to feel that way again.

Going to do some more housework today, and then some weeding and tending the flowers.
Oh, and do the grocery shopping.
Jeez, a woman's work is never done!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

Hello family. Just watched "The English Patient" on Netflix. I had forgotten what a powerful movie that was.
My "bits" are better EW. Thanks for asking. Pain Meds help but I think today is the last day I will take them.
Quiet Anniversary Reccie. We go on Vacation in a few weeks so we'll celebrate then. Off to do a very little bit of yardwork and get some sun.
Kradle.... I can only imagine how being told a check has bounced would feel. So sorry sweetie

EW - so glad that little EW is helping to keep you focused. These early days are hard and it's great to have something positive to hold onto. :h

Kradle - My phone battery ran out yesterday - I'm so sorry. I plugged it in to try to get enough juice to text. Anyway - I'm sorry about the sox. :l

Nursie - I agree - it's great to wake up with no guilt.

Reccie - I need to hear this story about you & the tights......:H

Liz - sounds like a wonderful day. We still have to get a pool this year. Our aboveground pool was several years old and had many leaks so we thru it away after last summer. II miss it!

Dottie - have a good day.

Mama - hope you & hubby have a fantastic day. It's going to be 37 years for us in December. Wow!

Ok - I just informed hubby that I didn't want to do anything or go anywhere today and don't make me. :H So, I'm going to curl up with my book and maybe even some TV.

                        Have a great day everyone......

One Step at a Time - June 2014

Back from a very dull weekend at the cabin. It was too wet to garden or mow...and rained most of yesterday, so we didn't even get a hike in.

We did drive to Platteville, where Mrs. Fen shocked me by walking into a tattoo shop in order to get a tattoo! She has always prided herself on the pristine condition of her creamy, alabaster skin. Anyway, she wanted a celtic knotwork circle to sort of complement mine. However, she wants hers to be very small, with no color. Mine is 2 1/2 inches with all sorts of colors.

While she was looking at the design book, I quietly told her that it's pretty unusual to just walk into a shop and get a tattoo that same day. She chose a design and may make an appt. They are 2-3 weeks out, so it will be a while. I thought about getting a viking design- not sure.

Anyway, the garden is not drowned, but I pray we don't get any more rain!

I'm going to read back and see what's up...

Hey F - sorry about all the rain.
Really cool that Mrs F wants to get a similar tattoo. Yours is so pretty. I've been thinking about another one but you know I'm into quotes so still looking.

Jeebus...while we were at the tattoo shop, a young kid came in (about 20) and wanted the tatt that his brother gave him covered up. His initials, PTL on his outer wrist. He had the entire serenity prayer, in THREE different fonts, engraved on his arm, with a massive cross covering his initials.

On the one hand, I am glad he's sober, if that's what the prayer is for...on the other hand, WTF about getting all that done so he could cover three tiny initials? It looked so odd, with all those different fonts. I really think Mrs. Fen should get her tatt done in our own city, where there is a little bit of artistry, at least.
