One Step at a Time - June 2014

Zen...you got botox from a dentist? Is he/she licensed to do that? Geebus!

Back from the cabin- deep cleaned it for our company. I feel like such a hermit these days...I am not looking forward to company. It's like the weekend at the cabin is usually my escape, and I don't want to share it.

Dottie, places like Office Depot or Staples have laptops, too.

          Zen, you're so funny!

Pauly, did I read that right - 24 years together? That's amazing and good to hear long lasting relationships are still out there and people find ways to make things work when they have history even if there might be some tough times (there always will be won't there?). Unfortunately so many look for the easy way out and the legal profession seems to feed on it.

          Congratulations!
2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

                Hi all,
Laptop still limping along. Got most of my files moved to dropbox but am now out of space there so may need to buy a subscrtiption. I am thinking about replacing the hard deive and giving it to hubbs grandson. His mom is a single mom and the kid has been asking for one. He is 13 and a good kid so that way I get to do a good deed and get me a NEW one. I plan to look at Costco and Best Buy. I got my tablet at Best buy and the geek squad helped me diagnose the problem last night. I was on line with them for hours but it just confirmed what I thought the problem was. I just cant fix it..if it was a desktop I could replace the hard drive myself....technology....
Off to get something to eat...back later I hope.

Happy 24th Anniversary for tomorrow Pauly... to you and your soulmate... :l

I did indeed get the botox from the dentist Fenny... and yeah he's licensed. He's very good too. He does his wife's botox and she looks fantastic so I decided to go for it. I had the furrow between my brows and my crows feet done Pauly... it takes about a week to work, then I go back to see if he needs to touch up anywhere. I had botox done before, years ago... now I REALLY need it! (Although according to my mates last night I do not. They pissed me off!)

The dentist's mother-in-law had cancer somewhere in her head (which she beat)... her eyebrows fell out, and her hair, and her mouth became lopsided from swallowing when the chemo burnt her throat, and her face was covered in wrinkles after the chemo... in the "before" pictures she looked terrible. He went to work on her with botox and injectable fillers, they got her eyebrows tatooed in and the "after" pictures are phenomenal... she looks awesome now. She's in her upper 60s and looks like shes mid-50s. The dentists's daughter was there yesterday and said he gave her Gran her life back. :h He's extremely detail oriented, which is what left me there with a sore arse in his chair for over 4 hours today. He PAINTED the finish on my temp crown! It's in the front... and I'm extremely grateful he didn't send me off with a "kernel of corn" in me gob... I'd have been crying all the way back to the holler!

Dotts... Costco and Best Buy... two thumbs up! IMHO they have the best deals. Got a great deal on an HP for Jim a couple of months back at Best Buy.

There's an echo in here. Thank Gawd Dotts posted or I'd think I was deserted.

I think I'm going to start watching Mad Men tonight Kradle. I only made it to the 2nd series before.

I watched a doco about extra terrestrial encounters called The Hidden Hand. You might want to check it out Niner... I think it's almost weird enough for you! :H Did you know they have support groups (like AA) for abductees?

Ooooo... you GO Dotts! If you do the face lift I want to hear all about it. I'm enthralled with how easy it is to turn back time these days. They even have something called a lunchtime lift where you're in and out in an hour or so... it's non-surgical.

I swear, you get one little thing done and it starts one thinking about other stuff. It's like painting a room in your house... that shit never stops till the whole house is painted!

I'll have to go back in my box though as the lunchtime lift is not in my budget... ( But for a Milestone... go for it Dottie...

I'm not interested in botox, etc. I may need to have eyelid something or other done, though. They are starting to bunch up and get draggy.

I have very little grey hair, so I have that going for me! :H

My grey is all contained in a stripe down the middle of my head... kinda like a skunk! It grew in at 27 after I scared the poop out of myself in a really bad car accident. I had to get cut out of the car, I could have died, so I shouldn't complain about the skunk stripe I suppose...

I just took a painkiller... me gob is starting to make it's unhappiness known. :upset:
