I have been spending all afternoon trying to figure out a document management system I should have been taught 3 years ago...but hello...we know my boss is not the best at that type of stuff.

I wanna go home...my landlord is coming over tonight to look at my garage door and garbage disposal...hopefully that will only take a few minutes and then I can get in my jammies!!

I spent the last 2 hours watching a Windows for dummies DVD. Did explain a few things. I went from Vista to 8.1 so BIG changes. I have a book too so maybe there is hope...Yep Zen that is how I felt today...I wont let this damn thing beat me.....not yet anyway. I have 14 days to return....

Hey Everyone,

Pauly, so sorry that crazy stuff was so close to home. Our world is getting wierder by the hour it seems.

Dottie, I have to say Windows 8 is just not doing it for me, who came up with this thing? A group of kids that never understood easy to figure out - that's for sure. I spent hours trying to figure out how to print an address on an envelope and remember it taking minutes when I first worked with Office. Excel is like a foreign language. Damn it!

I tried to help my brother with his Window 8 ( I tried to suggest that he stick with 7 ). Gee whiz - that was not user friendly at all. I am currently buying 3 new computers at work and I have specified that I want Windows 7!!!! (I deal with the computer issues at work and Windows 8 seems like a major learning curve!)

Nora it seems that 8.1 is even worse..I like the touch screen but some of the other stuff is a hot mess.....I will NOT let this beat me just yet....I was in IT for 20 years so I have a point to make with myself....the documentation with the laptop stinks and windows 8.1 to go with it stinks too but making slow progress...very slow...

Well - SHIT! I called them today and they have nothing to do with any promotions that the 'Doctor or Medical Group' puts on. So, they can't offer me a 12 month interest free. Hubby is going in for a colonoscopy/endoscopy Thursday morning and we have a co-payment of $400.00. Perfect timing with rent, etc. Isn't that the way it always is. Oh well - such is life.

Oh Wow!!! I didn't realize there was already a Windows 8.1! I'm in IT because it's a small company and that's what I do. :H As I've been looking into what computers to buy, I have completely ruled 8 out. I just can't even imagine trying to teach my Boss & his daughter the latest until I'm very comfortable with it.

Nora that is a huge task and not one I would want...I loved Vista but of course they and to upgrade..BooHiss on that!!
I have Office 2013 too and need to watch the DVD on that...have just created very simple word docs so far and it is hunt everywhere for what I need to do.....I like 1-1 classes but not even sure if they offer them ...but might look into that....or punt...
