Rox, it sounds as if you live in a small town similar to mine, except we have a couple of chain stores. And yes, the poor zoo keeper will need an ocean of patience. Puppy is being an absolute brat tonight - and the wind is howling, which always gets me down. Not the happiest of campers at the moment. Long bath needed, methinks. Candles and smelly bubbly stuff in water - my usual prescription for whatever ails me or the world.

No - irritability from the dog (who's now all sweetness and light) and the wind (died down mostly). Looking forward to trip: lots of empty dirt roads that I cannot do at the moment with my baby SUV: the wheels are too heavy for me to change by myself. Funny enough, I've done lots of dirt-road driving with a car, but then the wheel changes weren't a problem. And face it, with dirt roads, punctures are almost inevitable.14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!
