    Today I bury my mom.....

    It is the last good-bye for my mom, who passed away after 91 years.

    She was mom and dad to me; my dad died when I was 4....

    I have not had a moment where I thought of drinking.
    This was my biggest fear in sobriety.

    It can be done.
    Booze adds no value to my life.

        I buried my precious father in law in February and I understand.
        Isn't it funny that when it really matters, we can do without booze?
        Good for you.
        I love my family more than alcohol.:h

              My condolences too Solitare My mom meant the world to me too and I lost her at her age 54, I'm so glad you had her longer but whenever she goes it hurts a lot and I admire your fortitude

                    Hi Sol -thanks for sharing the message of how great it is to be sober when a very dear loved dies. How courageous of you to pass this on during your time of grief. I needed to hear this. Thank you and sorry to hear of your loss.

                          Sol..apologies for not picking your thread up earlier...thoughts are with you ..at least you have something that no one can take away ..the memories of the woman who cherished and cared for you through life..keep them safe :l
