Army Thread Thursday 12th June
Evening ladies
Rox- sorry about the craving- suppose it's something to be expected by us. Even now I can still get a wee want for it. Just about learning how to cope with them. Whenever it happens now I find myself telling myself, yeah that glass may be nice, what about the one after that and the one after and......ye know the score? Where would it lead/end? Finally accepting that one cannot safely have that one glass of whatever helps us to move on, IMHHO xx Also think it helps to have something else in mind and on hand as a 'treat' as such, could be a bar of choc, icecream, good book or puzzle, anything that ye would enjoy.
Was just wondering too, would it be possible for ye to print off the like of the toolbox here- have it handy for times that site is acting bollix?
Agree with ye Molls regarding paying here. I would want some kinda plan and guarantee it would help the site, and that my banking details would be safe also, before going subscribing.
Also agree with ye re the airports- I always loved airports, even as a child, lots of people watching opportunities, imagining wee stories in me head about who's who, where they're going etc...Then there's the shopping! Nowadays, I like nothing more than sitting with a coffee and me puzzle book and gazing at the world going by!
Satz- can I just say I'm mighty jealous of ye getting away

I had a 9 hour (s'posed to be 5 1/2 but there was a delay) stopover in JFK when I was only a wet week sober ---- but I just took it off the table - as you've done with the antabuse -- then it wasn't an issue -- just looked for other ways to amuse myself ---

yeah -- there is history alright Rox ---- spent years in my 20's -30's virtually incapacitated with this --- it was eventually diagnosed as an 'unstable bladder' --- and it's back unfortunately -- I'll have to insist on seeing a specialist and probably going into hospital --- can't go through that again.... and yeah --- in the meantime she'll have to ZONK it with mega doses --- it's a real piss-off and I'm trying awfully hard not to let it get in at me...... ok so far
Should get it seen to really !
But the pun ???:H

I absolutely LOVE that people watching -- nowhere better than an airport!!!
I'd love to go to Greece --- never been.... don't like stop-overs tho --- plan on avoiding them in the future now that aer lingus is going to Toronto
Oh that's great aer lingus go direct. Like flying with them I do! Been thinking lately....have always, always wanted to go to Canada, gonna start a wee savings account now so that I can treat myself to a trip for my 40th.

I was all about Vilamoura when I came back having seen all the groups of women having a great laugh & the luxury of 4 star hotel:h
We's thinking of a few days away somewhere in the sun Sweets & we were going to ask you and Rox.
Molls & Ms A are up for it but there are a lot of variables:
* where to go
* Telling the men
* Money
* Ms A's back
* holidays from work - when I haven't even gone yet :egad:
Syncing flights from UK
A lot to think about
