      :H:H
I can play my 'holier than thou' new persona :H

God it REALLY is not just about stopping drinking is it ? All this stuff has to be examined.
      Stuff we tolerated previously.

I could tell though that Mr S was SO PROUD of me ........

I was up at 8.30 each morning & walked up a mountain to a ruined castle with him - unheard of before.
Then came back & made us brunch ...... while his twin & Mrs were struggling to get out of bed ( they are a little competitive on small things )
He was like a peacock ..... priceless...

Did she go up there twice to get the black eyes, Molly, or did she get them in one go?

You know what, Satz, last year Xmas, the one thing I really worried about was how I would cope with one of my SILs - the longest -surviving one :H:H - sober. She's not a bad person, at all, but we just never connected. And then the strange thing was, we connected - or I did, anyway - sober. She's one of those annoying take it or leave it drinkers and smokers, and actually gave me great insight into how my brain does not function. And yes, the stopping is really just the start of a long process - I've seen that for a while, but I've only now come to really understand it and do something about it. (Shall I piss off Molly and call it a journey?)
14 October 2013 was the first day of the best days of my life!

And what does BIL say to Joe or you???
          Is it his sister ?
Do they ever discuss it ?
We Irish are really adept at overlooking what is obviously a problem aren't we ?
The village we go to is all other nationalities - mainly British / Germans / Dutch - and the stark difference in how we socialise is evident.

The other couples I was always in awe of them having a meal & a drink or two - and then to bed & early risers. I thought that was BORING !!!
Then we'd arrive - THE IRISH - the only Irish in the village - .mad for a party - dragging in all we could find.
Was great for a while but the 'fun' grew thin after a few nights...

Mr S can down the pints and twin & SIL & I were as bad and chat to all whether they wanted it or not.
This year I saw how it REALLY looked ..... morto !! :blushing:

          Now [B]I KNOW it's ALL about ME :H:H [B]
          But .....
          What's been happening here ?

24 days and 10 hours without a ciggy in hand - bit more about that earlier today between Molly and me.

Mr Lobster as nice as ever; meeting some of his relatives this weekend - a bit angsty over that. No crutches left...

:H:H:HRoxy...that hat. It looks like she got into a fight with the cotton-candy maker at the Wisconsin State Fair....and lost. It also reminds me of the pink maxi-pads my Mom insisted on buying me when I, you know, "became a woman." Um...haven't worn those in YEARS. Worse yet, they came with an elastic belt...so it was like wearing a jockstrap. I know, I know, TMI.

Sorry, Tips. ...I know you're the lone guy here. Sorry to hear about your mum, too.:l How is she doing?

Satzy, welcome back and I missed you. Ah yes, we Irish don't catch on fast that there's an elephant in the room.

Molly, continue to guilt Dr. Dentist into giving you deals on your teeth.

                              Dreamy....congrats on all your cig-free days!:goodjob:

It's beautiful out...sunny and warm. First a run, then a dip in the pool.

Hope you all are having a lovely day.
