    Jumping July

    I'm in the loo!

Getting ready for my dinner guests tonight. Meat is in slow cooker, house cleaning almost complete. Not much to do in that department really. Will be in the kitchen for a bit making other goodies.

Fabulous day here weather wise. Washing blowing dry on the line in the sunshine.

Missy - I think you've made a really powerful decision. I don't see it as walking away. I see it as honouring your soul in terms of being true to how you want your life to be. It's like choosing which mountain to die on, or which battle you're prepared to walk through the front to win! Doesn't sound like she is your kind of business partner anyway. You're much more loveable than her!

    Where's Raggsy?

    Salute to Mr G!

    Squishes to Tawny.

I love it when the silver starts to come through...very distinguished. When Mr Cakes gets his hair cut it makes the silver bits show up. Then he gets lucky

Ugh, I posted a response to Missy this morning but clearly it's gone AWOL.
It went like this....Missy I hate the thought of 'giving in' to those sorts of people too. The she'll say "well obviously it was a fair offer or she wouldn't have accepted it"...which would lead me to write a letter along the lines of "although the financial offer is much less than what I understand to be fair, the emotional expense to carry on bickering is too great. Therefore, please accept MY gift of accepting your offer".....! Ha, I should be a lawyer...speshully on THAT coin Corri.

Missy I?m sure you?ll make the decision that?s right for you and you have our 100% support for whatever that is.

Something my father said to me many, many years ago comes back to me often. He was caught up in a complex legal dispute with a business colleague who was trying to rip him off and it had dragged on for years. Eventually he told me he?d decided to walk away because he just couldn?t waste any more time ?churning his guts up over it?. It came up in conversation the other day and he told me it was the best decision he?s ever made.

Unfortunately you may never get the recognition from her that you?d like, but your best revenge is to live well and be happy. I have absolutely no doubt that whatever you decide will be done out of self-awareness and a conscious decision not to let her spoil your life, rather than a lack of courage. :h

                Phone call from my sister:

                S: Hi Glassy
                G: Hi Glassy's sister
S: So you know how we were going to Hawaii and the states next year?
G: yep. Looking forward to it
S: Well we're not, now. Now we're going to Rome, Paris, Zurich and Venice.
                G: Oh. :hitme:

                EDIT:

                Phone call from my mother
M:Your father wanted us to come down to Brisbane to see you today, but I told him you'd be too busy
G: Oh, I would have liked to see you
M: yes, well he wanted to see you before you went away, but never mind.
                G: Oh. :upset:

Morning Glassy and all to come.

                              Jumping July

                              Belated good morning everyone.
Sorry I've been off air for a few days.
I was furiously cooking Friday and Sat morning for the Wingallo goup Christmas in July last noight.
We held it in the cosey back room /kitchen of the village hall, wher I, your very own Rags, was the first person to use the brand new, just installed gigantic De Longhi oven and cooktop!
The dinner was a huge success, and Mr Rags and I won the impromptu village masterchef award for fanciest presentation of a dish. Picture later.
As we are no longer welcome to stay at the retreat centre, we are homeless village waifs, but everyone came to the fore, and we have offers of accommodation for whenever we're in the village.
                              Lovely.
So I now have a few days posts to catch up on.

Hope I was a bit of help Glassy .

Did anyone watch the Green Mile the other night? What happens in the end? I got as far as Tom Hanks driving with his wife to see the wife of the prison governor. By then I was so tired I hauled myself off to bed, with probably another 30 minutes of ada and movie to go.
