    Jumping July

Amongst a lot of other things I was cheesed off that Mr. G's post #186 didn't even get a thankyou.
Glassy was so upset over your original post at some ungodly hour of the morning and when she did finally make contact you acted as if nothing had happened.
It just seems to me to be so egocentric on your part Corrie.
I have tried to be your friend, but it is a bit of a strain and I really wish I hadn't wandered into the recipe forum the other day..

This site will attract people who have problems other than those associated with alcohol, but for severe psychiatric or other mental health problems,
this is not the forum for that sort of assistance.
I'm sorry that "befriending " me has proved difficult.
As suggested, perhaps other forums would be better.
I don't feel obliged to have to explain myself further.

It's a little overwhelming, but here's the gist.......Some folk are suggesting a merger with another thread (e.g. the army, one step, colon irrigation, topamax threads), some have put forward takeover bids suggesting this could work for all concerned. Look, i dunno. I reckon there will always be people in this time zone that will want to connect with others like them for mutual support.

      Rock on Roo's!
More than welcome to The Army Barracks G et al :l
Now we like coffee when we wake up - so decide among yourselves - perhaps on a rota will work ?

Yo Satz. The stars are aligned!

Yo Cozz. You look to already be taking positive action for yourself. You have put in place some regular support in real life. You've started another thread which i see is a fab idea to talk about suicidal thoughts which has struck a chord with many other folk on the site, and hopefully helps you let of some steam and discuss some stuff with like minded others. Problem drinking and mental health issues often go hand in hand. I started my G house thread too, for similar reasons, which was to discuss/journal my personal path, as talking booze all the time isn't where the Undies thread is at collectively 24/7, and that's cool. As we know, unfortunately this site is not a crisis or emergency line where suicidal thoughts are concerned, as it is mostly geographically and emotionally impossible to give such support on an anonymous online forum where we are not health professionals, miles away from each other, and most people here are struggling with grog and it's related outfall. Even though many people here, like you/me/roos, are brilliant and creative, many of us are not 100% and firing on all cylinders. An aussie Mental health forum(s) might be a fantastic complimentary angle to MWO for the booze, in combination with your real time life supports.

Keep it going mate. It might seem at times that you are taking one step forward 2 steps back, but you are moving forward.

I'll have a peppermint tea thank Satz.

Last word from me. No-one is to blame here. Not you Cori, or Undies. No right or wrong.

Cozz, it is understandable that you would reach out when distressed to this thread/site, who are people you have come to know and have become comfortable with. I know you felt you had nowhere else to turn. I am glad you're still with us!

I hope you can devise a realistic safety/crisis plan for you to follow if things get rough again. You, your GP, and your counsellor can put a simple one together. A written out plan is crucial and can be lifesaving in such situations from experience. Laminate it and stick it somewhere accessible.

Take it easy and rock on buddy!

Well you've set the tone with Alfie's 'Birds', but happy to and thanks for asking.

I don't recall ever saying i was scared to enter into a LTR. If i did, it is untrue. I have wanted one for years. My dilemma is i want kids. i won't respond to a debate on age re this. My other dilemma is drinking thinking. I am overcoming this last one, just nailing it as we speak. After this, say 6 months sober, the rest will start to follow. My tarot card reader told me only yesterday that i will marry and have 2 children in the next 5 years, divorce in 2021, and then hook up with love of me life Jonesy. See, it's all planned. Noice.
