Re the gym filling your evenings, niner, that's one of the things I find helpful about swimming. I don't get home till gone 11pm, so there's no possibility of spending the entire evening drinking. I genuinely didn't realise that the gym could be fun though. Having said that, I used to love gym lessons when I was at school, but I think the exercises we did were rather different to what you guys would be doing.
Good going on the cabin cleaning fenny. How many visitors are you expecting? I'm another one with sinus issues, so will look into that nasal lavage thingy you suggested to dots. I come across so many useful ideas on this forum!
Hovercraft, mama? Cushioncraft?
I immediately thought "hovercraft", too.
When I was a kid, we used to watch a show from the U.K. on Saturday mornings called "The Double Deckers". Those shows often featured clips showing hovercrafts, which I found fascinating. I seem to recall that one of the kids from that show planned on building his own.

We ARE here for you Pauly and K9. Fen has a good point. Can you talk to your doctor Pauly?
My sinuses and ears are throbbing and I am worried I am getting sick as I head out if town on business.
Everybody in the house is hacking and coughing.
Probably if I quit worrying I would be fine!I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Mama, I hope you feel better soon...did you see what I posted about the sinus lavage kit? Maybe you should get one. :h
Pauly, don't feel badly. We have ALL been there! I know I recommend Benadryl a lot. That's because I sometimes use it when I just want to go to sleep and not deal with the screaming brain that wants alcohol, particularly after a slip. I also use escapist reading. Going to bed early is always my way of getting the day over with when I don't want to drink.

I'm sorry, Pauly...that's way too much stuff going on!
Can you and hubs get a mini vacation, just for a weekend? Can somebody else baby-sit? I don't know what you are into, but I know there's some great hiking in your area.
There has to be some solution, at least about the baby-sitting situation. I know you love your grand-son, but you need a break. :h
