Dottie, maybe dh could go visit on his own on the 16th? How long are you two supposed to be there?
Took my mom to her class. My car barely started (it's been draggy starting lately), so I took it to my mechanic afterwards. The battery was nearly dead, so I had a new one installed. The CSK we use to provide 2 meals a week for mom forgot to include the sauerkraut dish, so I ran out and got some for her from the grocery store. I'm going to email the CSK and complain. This is the second time they forgot to pack a food item. It's pretty pricey, so I expect to get what we're paying for!
Went to restore to look for discounted windows and kitchen cabinets for the cabin. No two windows alike, and I wanted to put one on each end of the sleeping loft. I did find a long, narrow window that could run crosswise on the kitchen wall, though. Running it past Mrs Fen before I install it.
I feel so blah today. I can't believe yet another family member is out of my reach. I will never see or talk with my auntie again in this life.
Guess I'll go work out.

Thanks for the numbers girls. Yes, for chatting about anything, not just emergencies! That goes both ways! And I despise ironing.
Dottie, what in the heck! This sounds like misery! I have a herd time with my stepdaughter and she is only 15. Is it bad that I can't wait until she moves out?? Lol
Took my son to the doctor today because out of nowhere he had a 103 fever while at camp. They did a bunch of tests because he has been running fevers and vomiting every so often.
My poor little lovey.
Ok, I'm off to put my sick boy to bed. I'll try to read back

K9- you are still my number one love. No computer at work sucks. But he DID go on and on about how "great" I look. I don't get that much at home, so I'll take it.!!!!!

The long window sounds pretty

Okay, mama? You are hawt! Does papa not pay proper respects to you on the home front?
Dottie, can't you get hubs one of those "tom-tom" thingies that tell where to turn? This is craziness!
So sorry about your son, nursie...how old is he? Does he have body aches? I wonder if he has the flu? I hope he feels better soon.
Nora, we miss you!

Hey Dottie, second marriages and families are difficult. No one likes feeling like the 5th wheel. I'm 50 and it's next to impossible to find anyone with no kids and no baggage. Find a place in the equation you can feel comfortable with because anger doesn't do anything but make us unwell. I know I'm super simplifying things but letting some stuff go is for our own good.
Hope everyone has a great holiday!2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

Feel better Nora!
Nursie , hope your son feels better soo too! I so hate it when the kids are sick!
Dottie, how long are they staying? Hope your hubs appreciates what you're putting up with for him!
I'm off until Tuesday! Sadly the weather for the next few days is lousy! Hubby bought paint for our "new room" and a 46 inch T.V.! my son and I started sanding down the walls, while hubby patched. So this weekend instead of going to the beach we will paint and shop for a nice comfy sofa and rug. the rooms empty so things are moving along! I'm pretty excited!
Sweet dreams to all
