One Step at a Time - July 2014

Dottie, you didn't say how old hubs is...but maybe he shouldn't be driving at all?

Can you send him to Texas on a plane? His peeps can pick him up and drive him around. That's a thought.

Fen dh is 75 and his driving is OK but he gets confused a lot. He wont admit it like all men he is invincible and always right...

                    Mama,

Made it to OITNB episode 6 and my heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with a Pennsatucky day in and day out. The individuals I've had to work with or deal with that were similar to the character never had things work out in life in their favor (by their own doing of course) and always had someone else to blame for it. The upshot is you probably won't have to deal with her on Monday as she'll find a way to weasel out of being a responsible person. Write her up and get her out!
2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

                        I TTFP!
Son is doing a bit better but still has a fever. Kradle, they worked him up for diabetes, mono, strep, and a bunch of other panels. So far it's just showing he is dehydrated so I am pushing fluids. No flu.
Poor pumpkin. Back to doctor next week for the rest of the results.
                        Day 1 again 11/5/19

Dottie, at least you and hubs can stay in the RV, right? You don't have to crash in the house with peeps? Maybe you two can get away on your own for a bit while you are there. Not sure how you roll...I'm an introvert, and find it exhausting to be "on" all the time in the presence of company. Maybe hubs is an extrovert?
                            Anyway, I feel for you.

We are staying in a hotel so I can get a good shower and do my hair for the event. We will stay in camp grounds on the way there. The hotel has a pool so I can get some exercise and dh is not any better at visiting than I am so it will be good to say we need to get back to the hotel....hehehe

Mama, I'm glad Bri is scared straight, if only for a bit.

Went to mom's house today with the mission to start a money market with her retirement money (she just retired last year, at the age of 84!).

I ended up checking her garage for further mouseage- negatori. I think I yanked up the welcome mat when I boarded up all their entry points. The mouse "snacks" haven't been touched, and there have been no rodent visitors to her glove compartment.

Next, I cleaned out her gutters, which was time consuming. Trimmed a tree who's branches were scraping on her roof. Gave meds to her cat. We took the branches I trimmed to the yard waste place, took her aluminum cans to the recycling place for $, took a bunch of rags to Goodwill, went to Target to develop her pics, and then to the bank. We made me a co-signer of everything in the event that she is incapacitated and I need to write checks. We went to the store for kleenex, then home.

She cries for her sister, which is normal. :upset: My mom is the last one, and we both hear the clock ticking. We joked about all the "treasures" in her basement, to the point she couldn't talk, she was laughing so hard. I said "Yeah, you have a real treasure trove down there, mom." LOL!

Anyway, taking her to Mrs. Fen's mom's b-day celebration tomorrow, and I will be upbeat. After all, this may be the last time she gets to see my MIL, SIL and nephew on J's side of the family. We really are winding down.
