I have not read back but I wanted to check in.
Bret and I are working our butts off in 100 degree heat.
There has been a TON of rain, and it's kind of weird, but we are having to get used to being together 24/7.
All is well and I have been indulging in some beer every night. I will stop when I get home. We have talked ALOT about him drinking and how if affects me.....
I am getting a nice tan and every muscle in my body hurts. Pictures on FB. I love and miss y'all

Aww Dottie you poor thing! I did get a laugh out of the sleep like a brick.

You sound better today Nora. I always feel better after a work out, but I hate it.

Zen, can you eat with your toofus? What did you make? I made steak corn on the cob and scalloped potatoes. Not cooking a whole lot since EB moved out. She officially changed her name today. Just so you all know we have a very long last name. Hers is now short and simple. Such is life.

Mama, I thought this was a vacation. Are you guys doing grunt labor?

Dottie, forgive me for being a little out of the loop. Are you guys flying to visit family now (instead of R.V.) because of friend's dad passing away? I hope you get through your travels okay.

Nursie, I need some motivation vibes myself. I did manage to clean a bit today, but I REALLY need to go outside and weed.

Fen brutal is a pretty accurate way to describe it. I don't know if anyone else picks up on this but when some of us our down, others are up and vice versa. That's why this works.

Nora, you are NOT a downer. You are awesome! And we are all fighting the same fight! We can be real about it with eachother and support each other.

Well, I never really found my motivation today. Watched a lot of tv and walked only a half mile. Took a nap.
Maybe tomorrow I will have more energy!

fen yes that is it. The funeral is Friday for just family and friends..we are included in that, then memorial service and lunch at church on Saturday morning. We have been friends with them for a long time and wanted to be there. So we have a flight out late afternoon on Saturday. Dh was fine with this and I think it just might save us from that long drive. I am sorry things worked out this way but better in the long run....

That's what I figured, Dottie. Sorry a monkey wrench was thrown into your plans, but the funeral is important. I'll be thinking of you and DH on Saturday. :h SO glad you got a visit in with friend's dad before he passed away.

I am quite pleased with myself. Immediately after (a very healthy) supper, I dragged my buns outside and weeded...for hours! Front and back lots. The place desperately needed it. Amazing how productive I can be when I'm sober and focused.

Going to read a bit and come back and post. I love you peeps. :h
