One more little part of my Neenee story. About 10 years ago, when my nephew's daughter was about 3. We sent her a Barbie doll. Guess what she named her? Spooky, huh?!?!?!!?

But, that is the last time that we ever heard from Neenee.

Zennie - you know my front tooth that is damaged from when I passed out last year? My dentist wants to do a root canal & crown on it. :upset::upset:

Good lord. I'm glad I TTFP today.
We're home, and the cat is fine. X-rays looked good, so the vet lubed her up and managed to removed the floss. I'm getting a lidded garbage can today. We're lucky this hasn't happened before, as she has always had a penchant for hoovering up indigestible items.

Dotts... How nice that DH's son left you flowers and fruit... that's a turn-up for the books, isn't it?

Mama... $400 at the grocery store... it's feckin highway robbery at the store these days. I have no idea how unemployed people manage to make ends meet. I think you get $200 per person in food stamps per month... no option but to eat cheap, crap food at that point. Thankfully, vibrators haven't gone "up" too much! :H :new:

Reccy... I'm hoping the best for Poppy. I know only too well what a wrench it is when our fur babies got older and/or sick. As I'm sure you remember, I nursed my sick cats for the best part of 3 years and got even more attached to them because of that. Still brings a tear to my eye. I've gotten into the cooking wine on many an occasion... one for me and one for the pot. I don't any more so it's not an issue having it. I always have red and white on hand to cook with, would have no clue how to make certain things without it. My new fave thing to cook with is sake instead of white wine. It's got a screw cap and it keeps forever after you open it. I didn't want to confuzzle you, but that's what I used for the blue cheese sauce! (Are you confuzzled?!) lol...

Fenny... I had to laugh at the dental floss although it's not funny. My cat Sean (RIP) got into the tinsel on the Christmas tree one year and was crapping shiney poops. "Imagine my surprise"! :H

Nora... It's amazing that your niece called the doll Neenee. Had she heard you talk about Neenee? I feel for you on the front tooth root canal and crown and, yeah, I totally remember... dental stuff sticks in my mind. (No wonder!) You were checking out a dental insurance plan last I heard, how did that pan out? I reckon I'll be at the root canal dentist tomorrow. I had one root canal re-done a couple of months ago and here I go again... Thank God the rest of my body isn't as crappy as my teeth! It will be a trick putting one crown in the front and the lab may not get it right the first time. My dentist returned my front crown 3 times now... I still don't have that damn thing.

Pauly... I don't have kids but I can understand the wrench. My mother and I had a very tumultuous relationship when I was younger, but I will never forget the look on her face when I was leaving for France... it was pure hurt and despair. Take care of yourself hon and try not to resort to our old friend too much, limit the damage you know? :l

I'm on the couch with toothus throbbus... off to see if Reccy played a word. Nora, are you still playing?

Hi guys....very quiet on MWO so being nosy thought I'd pop in.
First thing caught my attention was all this talk about Zens story. Just read back....such a terrible experience about your friend Zen. Then the ghost story.....I have now got the heeby-jeebies! Did you sleep in that house after that? I would have been out pronto!

Hey Daisy! Great to see you.

I know - I totally forget to tell Zen that her story creeped me out. What a relief to get out of that house!

Hi Daisy! Yeah, I did sleep in the house after... me and two cats, Macgregor and Seamus. I was very VERY edgy though and was so glad when we moved. I never saw it again after that time and it didn't scare the cats again... but I was aware of it's presence.

When me and my ex bought the house it was a distress sale (due to their divorce). Then WE got divorced while I lived there. Not a happy house at all...

You're right, it IS quiet on MWO... I think the difficulties in logging on to the site has frustrated people.

                        Don't be a stranger!

Shit Zen, you're a braver woman than me.....I have been known to 'let' one of my children have a sleepover in my room. Little do they know it is because I have just watched or heard something that has freaked me out.......

On the 'divorce after spooky house' subject; When I moved into my street as a divorcee some 12 years ago I made friends with couples on the street. We all had young kids and got on great. There are now 5 divorcee ladies on my street. Taxi drivers started to call it Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives! How very insulting! And I was to blame for starting it!
