Shit Zen, you're a braver woman than me.....I have been known to 'let' one of my children have a sleepover in my room. Little do they know it is because I have just watched or heard something that has freaked me out.......
    :H:H:H

That's what I call "working it" Daisy!

I have the same thing going on here! More "single ladies" on my block than not. One of my best friends (single) lives right next door to me.

I'm glad your cat is fine, fenny. It's a bit strange that she would go for the dental floss, cats are usually such discriminating eaters.

Regarding poppy, I'm doing my best not to become too anxious about her reduced appetite at this stage. It serves little purpose to start worrying before you are sure you actually something to worry about, so I'll wait to hear what the vet has to say before getting too worked up about things.

It must be very hard for you to get used to the idea of your daughter moving away, pauly. I hope you'll be able to come to terms with it in time. :l

Commiserations on the tooth situation nora. :upset:

I've never tried sake, zenny, and it's probably best that I don't, all things considered! I assume it doesn't taste too much like rice as I remember you don't like that. Can't get in to Words at the mo, my bloody Internet connection is on a go slow yet again. :gramps:

Jingos, you have a brill memory Reccy! Yep, not keen on rice, just like it in puddings. It doesn't taste like rice at all, and it's cheap, and it stays fresh longer than an open bottle of wine... perfect for cooking imho.

I hear you on not getting your knickers in a twist too soon. Cats can be funny with eating (and vomiting) and it more often than not turns out to be nowt. Marley (Jim's cat) puked for 3 days in a row last week and then just stopped and ate like a trooper.

Marley's doing really well btw. I told you guys about his rescue. Him and Jim seem to rub along together quite well! He never tries to get out the door, he wants nothing to do with the great outdoors any more. He's allergic to fleas so I can't say I blame him. I'm allergic to mosquitoes and have the same philosophy as Marley! He always comes to the door to "greet" me when I go over and loves being picked up and petted... he's a wee doll. :h

Um...I think that might have been Wisteria, daisy. Listeria means something different altogether! :H

p.p.s. Sean loved thread! He chewed the threads out of the bottom of my living room chairs and went after my trainer laces every time he got a chance. Dental floss would have been a real treat for him!

Yeah, he's come a long way Reccy. Some of his fur is still missing but I think it will grow back. He has a bare patch on his nose though that looks to be permanent. He's a cute little guy... very loveable. )

Laughing so hard at the Listeria/Wisteria mix-up! :H

Reccie, some cats just cannot help themselves when they find a piece of string, yarn, dental floss, or as Zen pointed out, shoe-laces. Mrs. Fen and I have caught Booty with floss before, but managed to get it away from her in time. She also hoovers up bits of twig, leaves, whatever we might track in on our shoes, and gacks it up later. I love her, but she's an idiot!

Glad to hear that Marley is doing so well!

Sorry you had such a disgusting re-entry to the thread. I left out a LOT of graphic detail.

I agree with you about Zenny's teef. She could write a blog!
