The alternative Doc I went to in Ft. Lauderdale is a unique person. I've met him briefly before. He's a Chiropractor and a Nutritionist... which is all great in itself... but the thing is this guy has energy like you wouldn't believe... energy to heal... he draws the light. He "senses" things... totally blew my mind. And he is teaching people to learn the skill to sense for themselves.
We (Jim & I) spent over 4 hours with him at his (humongous) house during which time he worked on both of us. It's a whole program, not sure I'll follow it all, but I have to say I felt SO calm afterwards. We got mates rates and it was a brilliant afternoon to remember... very enlightening and I'm still taking it all in. I did my chant or prayer or whatever when I got home (it's actually quite long but it felt good).
Like I said, not sure I'll keep up with it but happy to feel calm and connected at this minute.

In fact, I'm so calm, not even the thought of Mama and I sending helpful aids over The Pond to a person that now pulls the piss out of us for no other reason than we're huggy-feely is going to rile me...
Edit: Thankfully that's in the past.

Nora, thanks for noticing I was not around. I'm am keeping busy. My bad time is after work as well. I was feeling like I wanted some wine after work yesterday, so instead I went shopping on my way home from work. Then I made dinner, lunches for the kids for today, ran and. Cleaned the house! By the time I got to bed I did read back but fell alsleep. All in all I accomplished a lot AND didn't drink! ,proud of myself
Was planning to go to the beach today with my sister and my nephew, that's why I got everything done last night. It was supposed to be a beautiful day! It's cloudy and raining!!! Oh well, I will run today, finish cleaning and then get a mani and a pedi! I too am putting the money away that I would be spending on al
It is accumulating and I will treat myself with that mani and pedi. I will be sober and pretty!!!
Zen good for you. Did I mention my hubby is a chiropractor and also is into nutrition . Al does a number on our livers. Eating the right things can reverse some of the damage we are doing. Let's keep, fighting!
I love you guys all, we are doing this. I am amazed that when some of us are up others are down and vice versa! We've got one heck of a support system here! I couldn't do this without you guys!
I'll check in again later. Happy rainy Thursday!

Fenny... I seriously hope you leave some of yourself for you. I feel you give so much to others... Please be sure to look after yourself too... :l
Mama... what is a Doc in the Box? Is it an Urgi Care place? I agree with what you said to Pauly... Reccy and I have talked about it a lot and not working or doing something is a no-no for an addict/alkie/problem drinker. Us lot need to keep busy, yep. Been there, done that and got the effin t-shirt... gah! You're sounding really good, apart from the sinuses and re-arranged biz trip you're sounding strong my dear. And, no, I am not back with Jim... we're just good friends.
Niner... Sounds like you're a one man makeover crew! Maybe you should get your own TV show on HGTV! Guess all that gym time paid off huh? So glad you're liking the job and we are awaiting details.
Reccy... What's the trick on the font colours?! Mr I.T.! Weren't The Double Deckers on on a Saturday morning? I vaguely remember it. Always had to help with housework on Saturday mornings as a kid so I wouldn't have been watching it.
Nursie... I'm glad your pal is doing well... and glad you are still giving us those hugs!!! What have you been cooking lately? Reccy and I like to cook and exchange recipes. It's quite neat to make someone else's recipe. And Mama was right... you're sounding in fine fettle! Freakin good news on the down payment... that is awesome!
Nora... I'll be glad to send you the info honey. Will you PM me and remind me, I'm in a real rush at the mo.
Liz... You are SO lucky having a chiropractor husband! I'm officially jealous. Enjoy your mani/pedi... I am desperately in need of one... my hooves are shabby!
Pauly... You have a good Thursday too hon!
Dotts... I'm ALWAYS on a vitamin/nutrition thing but I just.can't.seem.to.shed.this.weight! GAH!!!
I'm running really late, need to get to the gym then shower and go for a re-do on the root canal (he likes to do them twice). Ugh! ASADWS! (Always something as Dotts would say!)
Laters Yo! :h

Afternoon!
I hope your business trip goes well, mrs bear, and your sinuses don't give you too much bother while you're away.
As mama said, good luck with the house, nursie!
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to the alternative doc zenny. What prompted you to go and see him? I PMed you about the font colours.
Well done on keeping busy and not drinking liz. Shame about the weather, it sounds as though your forecasters are as shite as ours!
Good to see you showing your face again pauly. How are your shakes today?
It's great that you're making progress with the house dotts. :goodjob:
It's possible I may have misunderstood the reason(s) behind your tears nora, but I'm glad they helped you feel better. That's funny about your mum saying "SHIT!", I can't imagine my mum ever using that word! :H
Regarding your question about swimming, it helps put the brakes on my drinking in a number of ways. Keeping me occupied is certainly part of it, so is the feelgood factor that comes from the physical exercise, but probably the biggest benefit is to my mental health. Being in the water just relaxes me completely and lifts my mood and when my mood is good the desire to drink is less strong.
I took my car to a small local repair business run by a lovely Italian family this afternoon. The guy there fixed two problems for me and didn't charge me a penny for his time, only a small amount for the parts. Made my day!
:hallo: alls, fenny and anyone else I've missed.
