      MWO problems log

Yesterday, MDT time... couldn't get past home page to "My Community" for 10 hours. Kept stalling, on multiple devices. I really count on this support and missed it dearly! Please fix!

Multiple "Database error" screens while trying to log in last night. Also, spam remains up despite numerous flags.

Thanks for contributing to this thread. I've sent a PM to RJ, alerting the administrators to the existence of this thread. I hope we receive a response today but even if not, continued documentation here gives us a chance while complaints in threads are not likely to be seen.
            Thanks again, NS

NoSugar wrote: To whom it may concern,

I have started a thread where people can give details about the problems they are having. I think everyone assumed that you monitor the threads and so were aware of the extent of the problems - which are severe.

Could you please read (and continue to read each day) what is written on https://www.mywayout.org/community/f9...ml#post1685534. Please post there today (and regularly) and let us know what is happening. The lack of response makes everyone feel so helpless and frustrated.

This is too important of a site to be so difficult to use.

Should we avoid letting threads get so big?
Can old data be eliminated to free up space?
Would the money generated by more subscriptions improve the site?

Please keep us informed about what is needed and what is being done.

            Thank you.

Been trying to post here for hours:upset: Site is just getting dangerous now as people often use here as a last option(last chance saloon) and expect help. We are so good when it works:goodjob:

                  Site snafus

Yep, we're having technical issues, but do not currently have the funding to fix all of them. We are working on it best we can and are early into our advertising efforts. We've not have yet generated adequate revenue but we hope that will change in the next few months.

Imagine for a moment you donated each month to a cause you felt worthy, but you struggled to collect the funds to make that donation. At some point, you borrowed to do so because you felt strongly that doing otherwise meant abandoning it. At one point you found yourself at a critical juncture.

That's where we're at. That's where I'm at. I understand the frustration--trust me--but I will be frank and tell you it is disheartening to hear a lot of negative feedback when others have been generous in their support.

I will be asking all of you in the near future to help us identify potential advertisers and perhaps we can work together, in a positive way, to get us over this hump.

Its a splendid idea...........I can't help much with the technical side but I can contribute something..............I'm afraid not a lot................but something. Just say how.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

                        Thanks for the update, RJ.

How many subscribers (@ ~$10/mo) would be necessary for this to be an up-to-date functioning website?

                          Hi RJ and other members:

RJ -I first want to thank you for keeping this site-board alive. Potentially, from what I understand you to say, the forum operates at a loss and you have spent your own funds to keep it a going concern.

Yes, recently I have experienced some of the same issues you have regarding logging on, etc. However, it seems fine now and I even heard back from some folks (that I referred to the site) and they now are very thankful for this resource. It is very easy for me to consider not logging back on when I see some of the threads being hacked/hi-jacked by attackers.

RJ -I have to believe that most of the day to day members of this forum are willing to help in some way to keep this site alive and well. At one time, I attempted to join the 'subscriber forum' -to no avail. (except that my credit card did get charged twice)

This forum may not have been your original intent, but wow, look at what you have created. In my opinion, not only does it need to be able to pay for itself, but you should benefit as well.

Please just let the members know what we can do to help. You might be surprised by the results of letting the members know specifically how to assist.

                          SW

(And NoSugar - thank you for the thread!)

RJ - I want to thank you so much for this site that has helped me so much.

I do agree with SW that many of us long time members would be happy to help in some way.

I am sorry that you are receiving negative posts. The majority of us just want a reliable site. If that comes in ads, monthly dues, etc., please let us know. I have never been a subscriber but definitely would if I was confident that this site was going to stay active.

Again - THANK YOU!! I hope that you realize what this forum has done for so many of us. :l

I'm very grateful that RJ allows us to use HER site.

Maybe we should work with her to fund our meeting place. Just a thought! All that complaining crap is not going to get us anywhere.
