I had to learn very quickly not to say "Oh look at that beautiful cock".

Thanks for the pics Rags. Bloody lovely. Did you enjoy the whole trip? Did Mr. Rags? Anything you didn't like?
And in other news, I just read that our newest Undie, Petrelhead, has just clocked up 14 days. Well done that man on getting through another weekend.

Excellent news re Petrelhead, well done!!
Yeah, when we were visiting a temple up near Ubud, there was a huge gathering around the back. I could hear the noise and pulled the youngest locust away with me but the Lamp and the two older ones went in for a look...blah....lots of men getting excited about cocks. No women allowed...

We stopped at a Civet coffee pooh place...
here the cofee is being roasted (again, I think just for the tourists).
Bought some for pressies.
Dinner at Bridges restaurant.
Dessert at Bridges
EVERYONE has jumped on the eat pray love bandwagon.
Order in advance so we can prepare the smock.

The place has been ruined by tourists (of which I was one). There are just so many tacky, tacky shops selling crap, a shocking waste of resources.
It's just so commercialised. I was hoping there'd be a few places relatively untouched by tourism and so even Ubud was a bit of a disappointment for us.
Being neither swimmers or surfers or avid shoppers of Bintang singlets and crap, we were a bit restricted, but turned the holiday into a foodies outing. Didn't see any places of outstanding natural beauty, though I didn't manage to get on a photography tour which would have revealed a few sites and sights.
I didn't experience/see any of the seedy side... the prostitution or drugs or drunkeness as we weren't in those areas.
Be extremely careful if you want to exchange money... there are a lot of money changers who scam you by double handling and double counting money while managing to palm 50,000 rupiah with each count, leaving the unsuspecting tourist short about $15 to $20 for every hundred. Mr Ron was wise to it but even he said "phew, I just couldn't see them doing it". It was only that he insisted on counting the money then putting his hand on each bundle of notes so the dealer couldn't gather them up and "re count" them that he saw they were scamming. He went to dealers that offerd a lower exchange rate, which actually got him a better rate than if he'd fallen for the scams. Count the money in front of them before you hand over your dollars. If it is short, walk away.
I would go back to spend 5 days or so at Seminyak and hang out on Kuta and Seminyak beaches and restaurants, but the rest of the world beckons.... South America, Red Sea diving.......

Thanks for the beautiful photos Raggsy. OMG - I adore that suite you organised for Mr R. What a lucky chap he is! I'll have to keep it in mind if I ever get the chance to go their*.
Those pink baskety things are very pretty. Are they steamers or just decorative?
I heard of one place that got so sick of women hanging around all day doing the whole EPL thing they had a sign on the door that said " Eat, Pay, Leave". :H
* for RaggsyThere's two ways of looking at the holes in your shoes
You can dig the ventilation... or you can sing the blues
I didn't come this far to only come this far.
