I've just come back from trying to sort out the car registration ......

I need a green slip and a pink slip.

But nobody could tell me what the green slip and the pink slip certified!! (Seriously - the guy at the NSW govt Service Centre just kept saying that I needed a pink slip and a green slip ......... but all attempts to ask how I went about getting them fell on blank ears)

Popped next door to the NRMA people and found out that and one is about compulsory 3rd party insurance and the other is about a "rego check" (which is what I expected, and my nephew had it done a week before he handed the car over to us because he thought it was a seller's obligation ....... but it turns out it is a buyers obligation so because of the change of ownership we need to do it again!!)

So now I need to find a local mechanic who can do the rego check ..... sigh

off out to do that .... and a massage :-) I need one :-)
    You might have missed above.
You need to get the rego check done compulsorily for the green slip which must accompany your rego papers. That is a very basic safety check.
The NRMA can also do a much more comprehensive check for a fee. They also sponsor and approve other private businesses to conduct this comprehensive check according to their criteria and provide an approx. costing for each item. It will cost you, but may prevent you being caught in the middle of nowhere with a broken Bruce.

Gosh what bizzy beez you all are!

How was the last treatment Happyone? Are you still OK?

Keep fighting the good fight G’sta, and keep running! I want to see that arse toned if I ever get to your part of the world. Clothed, of course!

Missy - sorry to hear about your troubles. Is your back better today? You could always move up here with Raggsy. It would solve all your problems and you can register any old rustbucket up here without any hassle.

I’m a happy gal today. G1 is up from Sydney and he’s coming over for breakfast tomorrow and then G1&2 and their +1’s are all coming over for a family dinner tomorrow night. For breakfast I’m making spanish tortilla and hash browns and vegetarian sausages with mushrooms. And I’m going to make a big slow cooker full of vege chili this arvy and then serve it tomorrow night with rice and avocado salsa and salad and lots of etceteras. If that boy goes back without having to pay excess baggage, then I’m not doing my job right! :H

I saw the above Bridge, but I've just being having difficulty understanding it all. I think I've some brain cells along the way :upset:

Anyway, I am all sorted out now thanks to NRMA - Bruce is in good hands thanks to them :-)

I forgot to say I bought a new record player just before I went away. And now I'm playing some pretty cool records.

Cool Glassy. Speaking of which, i just happened to have my first record (vinyl) in the car today which a bloke requested and i was only too delighted to give. Cracking gig tonight wit me little band. It was like there were magic crystals everywhere i tells ya's. The geetar she was a sparkiling! Noice. Up at 6 for work but. You always have to pay the ferryperson.

Pretty sure i spotted the Frog having a cranberry juice with Richie Sambora in the corner......

Missy, your words are too kind, thanks. It was my absolute pleasure re tunage.

Awww - that's lovely G'sta. My new little record player has been lovingly playing my treasured vinyls. It's true there's nothing like that sound. I don't know if music is still written this way, but there are some intro's that still make me tingle.
Examples: The horns beeping at the start of Supertramp's 'Easy does it'. Those sparkly tinkly bits at the beginning of The Morning of the Earth just before G. Wayne Thomas launches into 'the forces of the universe'.

And there there's this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omrGB4HgjEg. This is my Undies anthem. :h
Seriously - I mean that. This is one of those things you can only probably only say at 2am but you guys allow me to be me and I really appreciate that!

Where are my usual insomniac friends? Reggie - that means you. Won't anyone come out to play?

Oh bugger - now I'm getting worried. Where IS Reggie?

Gee Glassy, you're sharp at 2:40 in the morning.

Go back to bed and get some shut eye.

And for those who want to sing along with Glassy.
