Otherwise just fly to Byron and spend the whole time there.
Take you an easy two hours to drive to Byron from Brisbane. That's not driving like the Lamp does - just easy does it. If you're after relaxation, fly straight in there and get a massage. There's cheap yoga classes at the surf club too

Didn't the shops burn down on the main street of Byron recently?
        Or was that Mullumbimby?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Nimbin....the Rainbow Caf? and the Museum I think? I only heard when I was in for chemo on Thursday. Some lovely oldies talking about it while the nurse was listening and stuffing up my veins.

Missy - I've just been chatting with old Mrs. Google ... You could always ignore that hippy/touchy-feely hippy shit and head straight for Mimi's Closet - a burlesque-inspired photo studio where they'd frock you up in a bustier and feather boa and take ever-so-tasteful snaps. Splendid idea. No, no need to thank me ...

If time is really short then FIFO from Byron is probably your best bet, but if you can spare a bit more time the drive down the coast from Brisbane could be really nice.

Having a car is useful anyway because there are some lovely drives around that way.
There's a very pretty little town called (I think) Bangalow? which is a nice drive from Byron. Also, not sure how many $$ you want to spend but I stayed at this place last year and it was gorgeous:

And also, if you come to Brisbane you might have time to see ME on the way and that would obviously be a drawcard. :H:H

Oooh! Me too! I'll carry a pink flower so you know which one is me.

You are looking lovely in that photo at The Byron Glassy very nonchalant

I was going to carry a flower but I don't like looking conspicuous. I'll just be carrying a sloth and wearing a wimple. Or vice versa.

Yes, that is a very flattering photo of me. It was taken when I was much younger. And slimmer. And taller.

Hope you didn't lose too much sleep, Glassy. It was all explained on Sat's army fred (which I assumed was required reading?!). Everything in the pantry was moved to various other rooms while pantry was given a healing deep-cleansing treatment.

Is Mullumbimby really a place or is it like Woop Woop? Sorry, too lazy to Google. You do have the nices place names, I think. Woolloomoolloo my favouritest favourite. But we do have Putsonderwater - literally Well without water. And the mythical Tweebeestemeteenskootdoodgeskietfontein. Twoheads ofcattlekilledwithoneshotfountain.

                              Symmetry/shymmetry.

Now ... follow me here ... if we re-introduce the offending L an lose the initial W, we have a perfect palindrome, non?

                                Evening all,

Missy, a week in byron sounds the ticket. The drive from bris-syd is a good day i think, so that'd be 2 days spent driving out of your week break. Depends if you're up for some highway travel i suppose. 5 days propped in byron might be far more chilled? Frocking up in some burlesque gear sounds beaut.
